All for water main leak. Arrived and found water leaking profusely from ground. Tenant states they were contacted by the water service provider and advised they were losing 800+ gallons. Leak is coming up approximately 3 feet from meter. Dug down and exposed one inch plastic waterline. Leak coming from ~1/2 inch crack in line. We found significant amounts of rocks, which may have contributed to damage. No other verifiable causes of damage found. This leak was not affected in any way by tenant use, but is likely defective material or installation caused. Now that leak has been repaired I recommend the tenant contact the water service provider for a bill adjustment.
Customer has stain in the garage ceiling, but did not want us open the ceiling at this time to check , paid dispatch fee toady
Customer stated that in garage there was a leak coming from ceiling. Said a customer that we will need to cut sheet rock to see what is leaking and customer agreed. Went ahead and cut sheet rock on ceiling and found that master bath shower drain was dripping. Replace shower stall drain and also P-trap. Afterwards tested by running shower for about 5 to 10 minutes, and no leaks were present at this time. Also on main floor rebuild toilet by replacing fill valve flat and supply line and also replaced shut off valve for toilet for no extra charge. Tested and no leaks were present at this time cleaned up work area.
Return to install customer supplied kitchen faucet. Removed faucet and installed Kohler faucet. Also added gasket to p trap drain tube off disposal. When testing pressure I discovered that the water heater is 3-5 years pst its life expectancy, and has not been flushed. Black water released when checking pressure. I strongly encourage to replace the unit as soon as possible.
Return to install new PRV’s and flush tankless water heaters. Shut water off to home and drain down system. Remove existing PRV and furnishing installed new high-pressure PRV with regular PRV. Flush both tankless by running haymaker solution through and also cleaning filters. Turned water back on and tested. There were no leaks on tankless water heaters and set water pressure to 60 psi. Cleaned up work area.
For this customer, the gas to his grill outside wasn’t getting any gas to the grill so I looked around to find where the shut off valve is or if there’s a problem with the gas line did not smell gas so that is good but more importantly could not find the gas shut off valve located the gas shut off valve underneath the range cabinet And it was turned off there however he had a weird configuration with his gas piping so therefore I recommended to clean it up and push the gas line with the quick connect backwards so his kids don’t start playing with the gas line and potentially cause an issue so that is what I recommended and that is what we did install the new 90 with the 2 inch nipple fall by the gas shut off valve and then a close nipple to connect the quick connect into it once that was complete. I tested the gas piping work that I did with bubble solution and there’s no gas leaks water pressure is at 45 psi And the customer has a fairly new Bradford white water heater 75 gallon with
Call for garbage disposal. Arrived and discovered disposal had a blockage in the p traps. Ms. Rochelle also mentioned water leaking under the sink. When I checked for water leaks I found that the kitchen faucet sprayer line has a leak. Also discovered incorrect trap components, and a missing gasket. Also incorrect p trap setup. I recommend replacing disposal, faucet, and rebuilding the drains. After speaking with home owner on phone, he has requested three quotes, and each have been provided.
What a fantastic experience. All work done, smoothly, professionally, and for a fair price. Took the time to answer all my questions and provide the right options.
Call for pressure issues with water system. Arrive and met with Jordan. He states that they have noticed some inconsistent water pressure for several weeks. Mrs. Glover also mentioned that one of the showers emits an audible noise (consistent with water hammer) and that they have replaced some toilet fill valves. Jordan mentioned that the temperature and pressure relief line is constantly running. When checking pressure I found it to be 148psi @ ~10am on a weekday. Water tested at water heater. Thermal expansion tank bladder has ruptured, leaving tank full of water. T&P line is constantly running. The water heater also does not have a drip pan under it, thermal expansion is supported only by pipe which has sharkbite connections close. Replaced pressure regulating valve and main shut off valve. I also moved the prv and shut off to be more accessible, and to protect the front hose spigot with the prv as it was previously before the prv, and Jordan uses this hose spigot for lawn work
Removed scald guard from shower cartridge
Call for dripping shower. Arrived and checked faucet. Cartridge was allowing water to slowly drip. Removed and replace faucet under warranty.
Mr Shawn Bush initially presented initially to our home and diagnosed the issue timely and provided solutions (without any pressure). We agreed to the recommendations since we had ongoing issues with shower and heating etc. for a while. He explained everything in detail and was extremely professional and courteous and kind through every step of the way. He even brought us a case of water bottles since water had to be stopped for a few hours. Installed a new tankless water heater and filter system along with leakage monitoring for added peace of mind. Everything done very professionally and we couldnt be happier. Upon completion asked me if I was satisfied and resolved any remaining concerns. Ask for Shawn if you call this company, Awesome guy!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We are so glad to hear how well Shawn took care of you and that everything from the tankless water heater to the leak monitoring went smoothly. It means a lot to know you are happy with the work and the service. Shawn will be thrilled to hear your kind words.
Estimate to install navien tankless in place of two gas water heaters. Install whole house water filtration system (halo h2 zero carbon) Courtesy: Apply caulking to sewage ejection pump lid in basement Clean two pfister cartridges in master bathroom. Remove single stage filter under kitchen sink to restore flow. Notes for Shawn: need two crossover tees, one in master and one in daughter’s bathroom. Check sediment in fixtures. Silicone pump in basement. Exposed studs in utility room, 2 inch vent stack with air admittance valve present, tie in p trap for condensate. Ask about shower heads for master, install new ones if present.
I have used them for over 15 years and am always satisfied with their service.
Joseph, thank you for trusting us for so many years. It really means a lot to know you continue to be happy with our service. We are always here whenever you need us.
I have used them before many times so I am using them again. Their service is excellent and I am happy to have used them for 15 years.
Remove existing kitchen cartridge and install new one. Also remove existing Prv and furnish install new with main house shut off valve. Also install thermal expansion tank with bracket. Customer stated that kitchen sink was leaking. Tested pressure and found pressure to be almost at 120 psi and also that thermal expansion tank has failed. Gave customer quote to replace PRV and shut off valve with thermal expansion tank and kitchen sink cartridge. Customer agreed. Did customer know given the age of the water heater we do have to drain the heater down a little bit in order to replace thermal expansion tank and may cause a leak on the water heater. Went ahead and install new thermal expansion tank with bracket and also new PRV with new main house shut off valve. Tested and set pressure to about 65 psi and no leaks were present at this time. Also replaced kitchen sink cartridge and tested. No leaks present at this time. Cleaned up work area. If water heater starts to leak, we will need to
Customer had requested a Roman tub repair on a previous visit. Responding tech didn’t have the cartridges on the van and was unable to give same day service. Gave customer a price to furnish and install new Delta Cartridges for Roman tub hot and cold handle with new seats and springs if necessary. Tested all work after to ensure proper function and no leaks. Made customer aware that the handles barely catch brass on the cartridges and makes it hard to connect the handles. If the customer has any further issues with the handles coming off will give customer pricing to order delta cartridge extensions to let the handles seat better.
Came out to finish mounting the recirc pump from previous water heater installation last week. No charge.
Under kitchen sink cut into drain line and add studer vent. Customer stated that when water was draining through disposal, it will back up into icemaker line. Took a look under kitchen sink and found that kitchen drain line was trapped and recommended a customer to fix it in. Customer agreed. Went ahead and installed Studer vent and tested. Now kitchen sink is draining as it should and is not backing up into icemaker line. Cleaned up work area. Also took a look at the new water heaters that were installed and thermal expansion tank is undersized and also recommended to customer that piping water heaters in parallel instead of series is more efficient. Will send quote to do so.
Call for hot water issue and pressure in shower. Arrived and spoke with Mr. Ashim. He has several problems with showers upstairs. Master showers both have poor water pressure when hot water is called for. His daughter’s shower has poor water pressure on both hot and cold. Hot water takes a long time to be delivered to the master shower as well. I inspected the plumbing system and found the following: Two 11-12 year old Bradford white atmospheric draft gas water heaters, ran in a series. A recirculating pump had been installed with a crossover tees in daughter's bathroom, under furthest vanity. Shower head and mount in this bathroom full of sediment and debris. I cleaned as much as possible and flow appears to be fully restored. No significant amount of sediment found on cold only lines such as toilet tanks. Pressure regulating valve is less than a year old, with the previous valve being from 2018, as stated by homeowner and prior plumber. PVC main from meter to home, 5en transitions
Customer stated that toilet wasn’t filling properly. Also tested pressure to home and found pressure above 80 psi. Will send estimates for repairs that are needed and in order to warranty any pressure issue would have to be addressed. At this time, customer didn’t want to proceed with any repairs but will credit back to $49 if any work is done in the next 30 days.
Install customer supplied pre filter. Customer stated that they needed pre-filter installed. Customer agreed to price so I went ahead and installed. Customer supplied pre-filter. Afterwards tested and found leak coming from pre-filter. Customer stated that they would reschedule for sometime next week to install different pre-filter. Left bypass on. Cleaned up work area.
Cut Sheetrock ceiling to diagnose leak from up above. Customer stated that there was a leak coming from master bath shower and that shower pan was flexing. Recommended to customer to cut sheet rock from below and test shower. Customer agreed so I went ahead and cut small hole and ceiling in kitchen and ran water. Didn’t notice any water leaking until customer was in shower stepping on the spots that were flexing and then noticed drain moving causing a leak. Also that the subfloor was flexing. Recommended customer to reliable restoration to see if it’s something that they can take care of as far as the subfloor. Cleaned up work area. Chen plumbing is not responsible for sheet rock repair.
Customer stated that disposal wasn’t working and also was backed up. Found that bottom of disposal had rust and also disposal was jammed in recommended customer to have disposal replaced. Gave customer price to install new disposal and rework drain. At this time, customer didn’t want to proceed with any work.
Install or Replace Thermal Expansion Tank (2 gallon) WITH MOUNTING BRACKET: (For Up to 50 Gallon WH) Without Water Heater Installation Details: Install new expansion tank. Ensure expansion tank is properly supported/strapped and the psi of the expansion tank is set at the appropriate level where thermal expansion from the water heater tank is mitigated. Minor Toilet Tank Rebuild: Replace key components inside the toilet tank, including the fill valve, flapper, and supply line. The tank lever will also be replaced if necessary. After installation, the technician will test for leaks at the supply connection, tank, and toilet base. Great service!
Customer stated that previous toilet that was repaired was doing the same thing. Found that when toilet was flushed, it would stutter to fill up because fill valve would get stuck. Last time replaced service valve because there was no water coming to toilet and now fill valve went bad. Recommended to have fill valve replaced and customer agreed. Installed new fill valve and tested. Now toilet is working as it should with no leaks present at this time.
Came out for a possible leaking dishwasher and water heater. Arrived and inspected dishwasher. Water was leaking out of the dishwasher when the drain cycle would begin. Recommended he replace the dishwasher. Water heater was older and out of warranty. Had a leak expansion tank. Customer elected to replace the water heater. Installed new 50 gallon electric Rheem water heater and expansion tank and pan. Tested to ensure proper function and a leak free install. No further issue at this time.
Homeowner states that he had us replace a couple of angle stops and didn’t have the measurements of the new cabinet vanity for bathroom located upstairs in front of stair way. Upon arrival I was greeted by Ted which he explained the situation and had already marked out the new locations of the drain and water lines for the left side of the cabinet. Explained the solution to homeowner which he agreed to the solution so I began by shutting off the water and draining the water lines. I then made new holes in the stud so the pipe would fit for the hot side. And I had just elongate the drain pipe. Once those two were set in I then moved the cold water line next to stud and just ran it up close to it. Once it was all properly connected I turned on the water and no leaks or issues were found and homeowner is satisfied with the service provided he also will call us back to do the shower drain and valve at a later date.

Prompt service qualify technicians!
I found Chen from Google ratings. I called for help at 11 AM on Friday. They booked me for Monday. When I said I had no hot water, they said they would try to find a team that could come in the afternoon. Emails kept me in touch when the found a team and dispatched it. By 5 PM the team arrived. They found and fixed the problem quickly. But since they could not understand why it had happened; they continued to work on the phone with the manufacturer to try to eliminate the possibility that it would recur. By the time they left, I was convinced that I was not just lucky. Rather I am confident that Chen Plumbing is a well-organized company who wants to give good service and succeeds in doing so.
Thank you so much for sharing your detailed experience with Chen Plumbing. We’re happy to hear that you felt well taken care of and that our team could resolve your issue promptly. At Chen Plumbing, we strive to go above and beyond for our customers, ensuring not just a quick fix but also addressing potential future concerns. Your kind words about our organization and commitment to service mean a lot to us. We’ll make sure to share your feedback with the entire team—they’ll be so encouraged to know their efforts made such a positive impression. If you ever need assistance again, we’re always here to help!
Got service within a day. Marcos and his buddy were great. Explained what was going on clearly. Although they found and fixed the problem very quickly, they continued to work with the manufacturer on the phone to try to find out why it had happened so that it wouldn't just come back.
I discovered water leaking next to the front door last night, but I don't know how long it's been leaking. I was really worried, so I contacted someone, and they came this morning as quickly as possible and handled it promptly. Since I’m a tenant, I need to bill the landlord's company, so I asked for a detailed report of the work done, and they provided it. I was really concerned because I have a trauma from water leaks, but I’m so grateful they took care of it quickly and efficiently. I’m gonna recommend Chen Plumbing company to my friends. I’m really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave an excellent rating. We really appreciate your business.
