Customer had leak of unknown origin causing damage in kitchen. Reliable recommended us to find leak. Found leak coming from dishwasher by kitchen sink. Shut off water at the stop to stop the leak until reliable could come back out. Unjammed the garbage disposal for the customer and cleaned the Ptrap under the kitchen sink. Ran a closet auger through trap of hall bath to restore flow to the shower. Pipe takes a sharp turn after trap and couldn’t let the auger go through, but ran auger multiple times through trap to restore flow. If any additional issues occur with the shower drain, then additional cleaning or repair measures may need to be taken to restore flow. Left quote to pull toilet and inspect the flange.

Price is to cap the both traps in double wye below floor. Drill new hole in bottom of kitchen cabinet and floor to reroute line to pvc below floor. Will replace 3 inch pvc wye and cut back 2 inch pvc to connect to 3 inch pvc to meet code requirements. Will cap copper line at the wall. Below cabinet and leave the vent stack intact. Returned and cut out cast double wye. Reconnected to the existing vent and capped the old lead drain line coming out under the cabinet. Put a new two inch pvc line through the floor with a new studor vent. Reconnected to existing three inch cast and 2 inch pvc coming from washing machine line. Points out sloping issues stressing a fernco from washing machine line to customer. The pipe is back sloped on washing machine and making it difficult to get a highly positive slope from the wye fittings that were installed. Customer is aware of issue and declined further work to correct the slope at this time. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks.

I recently completed a job to relocate a gas valve for a stove. This involved turning off the gas supply to the stove, disconnecting the gas line from the valve, unscrewing the valve from the wall, and then connecting the new valve to the gas line and securing it in place. I’m in the process of selling my house, and has a major gas leak. My realtor referred to me Chen Plumbing. Eric, a technician, was sent out to my house, and he found the leaking gas line was in the crawl space where to pipes were in contact with each other. He made the repair, and I was so impressed with his work, I had him come back out to take care of some plumping issues before I sold the house. He did great work!! The people in the office were also great, and they kept me informed of when the technician was going to be out to do the work. I recommend Chen Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing work done!
