Price is to cut out key turn gas valve that feeds fireplace in the master bedroom. Will cut black iron and Megapress new fitting to new stop. Will connect to the soft copper with a flared connection. 11/26/24 Returned and cut out old key turn valve for fireplace. Threaded new black iron into the black iron 90 coming from the floor. Reconnected to threaded pipe running under concrete to fireplace and mega pressed pipe in place. Tested work for leaks and found a leak on megapress fitting. Cut out again and reworked it. Tested all pressurized gas piping above the floor. Found no leaks on work performed with soap. Was getting a gas reading coming from the floor with the electronic detector. Let customer know that pipe passing through floor can’t be tested. So with the gas reading coming from the floor. The pipe needs to be replaced through the floor to ensure safety.

I've dealt with Chen two times...both in 2024. Both plumbers who did the work were excellent craftsmen, and were friendly & interactive. The office staff is easy to reach, and they use the latest technology to communicate with their customers. I think the prices were fair. There was no price gouging going on. If you're looking for a plumber in the north or east parts of metro Atlanta, they are an excellent choice.

Customer wanted things checked around the house to keep things safe and up to date. Checked house pressure at 78 psi and the thermal expansion tank was popped. Customer also had leaking shutoffs for washing machine. Replaced the stops for washing machine, installed a new thermal, and installed a new prv. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found. House pressure set to 60 psi.

For this job, I worked on replacing water service entirely from there meter to the inside of home. Sleeved water line with 2” pvc pipe. Also replaced main shut off and added new pressure regulator. Added a valve for fridge water line.

Customer had leak previously in kitchen and was having cabinets redone. Cabinets were already torn out. Replaced cast drain and put in pvc with a new waste arm through the floor to connect to existing pvc. Connected back at the top of the tee with a no hub fitting. Stubbed out the line at 18 inches for standard rough. Lowered it from the existing rough by about 1.5 inches. Cut out caps for water lines below the floor and ran new 3/4 pex line for the hot side and new 1/2 water line for the cold side back through the floor. Noted an old shutoff under the floor in poor condition with a water line in poor condition. Traced the line back behind the refrigerator and found it wasn’t connected. There was no water dispenser or ice tray found in the refrigerator or freezer. Installed a 1/4 inch shutoff below, but didn’t disconnect the abandoned water line due to age and apparent condition. Pricing can be given later to run a water line if the customer wishes. Restored flow to the home and tested

Customer had a toilet in half bath by kitchen with rusted seat bolts that were too risky to replace. Replaced the toilet with a new Western toilet. Inspected and flange and found no apparent cracks, but noted to customer that the abs flange wasn’t flush with the floor because it’s a 2 pies flange and the middle was elevated in one side of the flange. If there are any issues with sealing or rocking in the future the flange will need to be replaced. For now put a flanged wax ring and put shims on the opposite side for the toilet to seat properly and sit level without rocking. Flushed toilet multiple times to ensure there were no leaks, none were found. Put a fresh bead of caulk around the toilet and let customer know that the caulk needs 24 hours to dry properly.

Had a great experience with Matthew C. today! My guest shower started leaking, and unfortunately my old home has the plumbing behind my shower in a very tricky & inconvenient location. Matthew told me "we'll get it done" and he got it done! He was able to get behind the shower in the least invasive way possible (even though he had to cram himself into a corner to do it) and we were able to avoid having to do major tile work. He fully replaced the shower valve and I have a non-dripping shower in better condition than before the leak even started! Thank you Matthew and Chen Plumbing ⭐️

Price is to furnish and install new sewer ejection pump and reseal lid. Connect to existing vent and discharge line. Install new check valve. Returned and removed the old pump, installed a new pump with a new ball and check valve. Reconnected to existing box drain and vent lines. Resealed the lid and put new screws to make it airtight and secure. Had a piece of trash with a small amount of fresh purple primer on it fall out of trash bucket when exiting the basement. Made a small stain on the carpet behind the couch in the basement. Lightened the stain with some pine sol that was nearby and made the customer aware. Offered a discount to the work for the stain. Customer agreed to the discount to bring the price under 1300 dollars as compensation for the spot. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found. Spoke with customer about pump function and expected lifespan of pump.

Cody did an amazing job. He fixed the leaking pipe in my basement and fixed the water pressure in my shower. It was for an amazing price and it was done quickly. After he completed the job, he showed me what he fixed and was very professional. 10/10

I’m in the process of selling my house, and has a major gas leak. My realtor referred to me Chen Plumbing. Eric, a technician, was sent out to my house, and he found the leaking gas line was in the crawl space where to pipes were in contact with each other. He made the repair, and I was so impressed with his work, I had him come back out to take care of some plumping issues before I sold the house. He did great work!! The people in the office were also great, and they kept me informed of when the technician was going to be out to do the work. I recommend Chen Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing work done!
