Customer like filter system installed due to recent water testing that showed lead in system. Looked in crawlspace for accessible point to install whole home water filtration system, and noticed segment of potable water system after PRV are still in galvanized piping. Advise customer to either replace galvanized piping in home or, different filter system for underneath kitchen sink for drinkable water. Customer will provide different filter system and estimate was given for approximate price of installation.

Customer had another company inform him that the thermal expansion tank was bad. Inspected the tank and confirmed this diagnosis. Replaced the thermal expansion tank. Tank is charged to 50 psi to match house pressure. Tested to ensure proper function and no leaks, none were found.

Customer has house that is getting prepared for rental. House isn’t currently lived in. Customer had water leaking from second floor sink in an unknown location into the living room below. Customer shut water and ac off until we arrived on site. Customer turned water back on and no water was dripping through the ceiling. Saw previous cuts in multiple places in the ceiling and note grey poly pipe in the ceiling. Made customer aware that if grey poly is the source of the leak it can’t be repaired for the sake of both safety to the property and liability for Chen Plumbing. Gave option to cut ceiling to be sure of the source of the leak, plumbing or otherwise. Also gave options to repipe the whole house to allow for safe pressurized water usage inside the home. Noted that the water heater was from 2005 and gave option for replacement as well to mitigate potential property damage. Customer will weigh the options and reach back out for potential scheduling.

Eric went above and beyond of what a technician does. He replaced my water heater the same day and helped me fix my flat tire on my car. I wish all human beings were and professional as him.
First time using Chen Plumbing and it was an excellent experience. From the fact that they worked me in same day, had professional to a follow up call to ensure the service met our needs, a really pleasant experience. Will definitely call on the again.

Wow!! The team at Chen Plumbing fit me in same day. Dawson and his teammate were so friendly, professional, and fixed our hot water heater issue no problem. They did not leave a mess. I received a follow up call after the service to make sure all was satisfactory. Overall great experience and will definitely work with then again.
Cody was one of the best contractors I've ever had. He took the time to understand the situation and what we had tried so far, explained what he was going to do and why, did not seem hurried or put off by our questions. Very pleasant to talk to, and even enjoyed meeting our dogs.
