Wow!! The team at Chen Plumbing fit me in same day. Dawson and his teammate were so friendly, professional, and fixed our hot water heater issue no problem. They did not leave a mess. I received a follow up call after the service to make sure all was satisfactory. Overall great experience and will definitely work with then again.

Returned to install pre-quoted 50 gallon gas water heater as stated in quote. Reconnected to existing gas, vent, and water lines. Installed a new drip valve for the t&p line and reconnected a 1/4 turn straight stop for hot supply to hvac unit. Installed and strapped new thermal expansion tank and installed new ball valve. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found.

Customer property had a 1/2 pipe blow off at a compression fitting in the wall behind the kitchen sink. Gave price to cut cabinet, eliminate the compression fitting, and run a pex line from the copper pipe in the wall to a new stop and supply line for the cold side. Turned water on and tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. No additional leaks were found. House pressure is at 50 psi. Rear hose bib is unregulated pressure. Water heater is 16 years old and the thermal expansion tank has failed. Left quote for replacement.

Customer had a leaking thermal expansion tank on piping above water heater. Made customer aware that the 10 year mark is around the time to proactively replace. Replaced the thermal expansion tank and tested to ensure proper function and no leaks. No additional leaks were found at this time. Gate valve didn’t feel reliable for shutting off the house so the water was cut off at the street. Left discounted quote for water heater to account for some of the work performed today, and left a quote for a new whole house shutoff.

Customer had a crack in water service. Customer had already excavated the water service at the foundation and done a temporary pvc repair. Customer wanted a more permanent solution. Replaced copper line through foundation with pex and connected to pvc outside and copper inside. Customer also had water that appeared in pantry light fixture. Cut ceiling, found water damage under the trap, and filled the pan, dropped the water all at once, ran water for almost 20 minutes, and sprayed the wall. Was unable to recreate the leak at this time. Advised customer to leave the ceiling open and see if any specific circumstances lead to the leak. Checked all work to ensure proper function and no leaks, no leaks were found. Sealed the penetration through the foundation with hydraulic cement and covered the hole back after packing the pipe carefully.
