Job Locations and Reviews
Came out for the dishwasher supply. We verified dishwasher was in fact connect to the hot supply piping. Ran water at the sink to confirm that pipe did in fact get hot water. No repair work necessary for the dishwasher supply. We also inspected a loose faucet handle on the Roman tub. Handle could not previously be secured due to the way it had been installed, but I was able to hand tighten the deck plate down to slightly raise the valve body up through the tile and make enough space to secure the handle onto the cartridge. Faucet is having a separate issue of constantly dripping. We ordered replacement cartridges and will return to install them next week.
Was unable to identify the cartridge in the shower valve. The trim was spray painted over and there were no markings of what the branding was. Attempted to search online for the cartridge, but the shower valve was from 2005 and didn’t get replaced when they remodeled the home. Customer approved quote to replace the shower valve. Collected dispatch fee today but will be crediting the fee back towards the replacement cost if scheduled within 30 days. Water pressure tested in the normal range.
Upon arrival, customer stated smell coming from toilet in master bathroom. Also mentioned hard to flush toilet in hall bath downstairs. After reviewing work went over quotes with Customer. Once customer approved master bath toilet pull and reset again to perform work hold toilet and found no issue in flange set new wax ring, and reset toilet check for leaks and proper function. Also checked vent in attic for any additional smell issues. Warranty of work does not cover smell issue if smell issue returns will need to further investigate to fix issue.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough good things about Dawson and Chen Plumbing. We had an emergency at our property when the well pump that supplies water to our barn went out. I called Chen Plumbing, and they responded immediately. Dawson came out, and from the moment he arrived, he was exceptional—friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, someone you immediately felt you could trust. He diagnosed the problem, was completely straightforward and honest about what needed to be done, and did a stellar job getting everything taken care of. What impressed me just as much happened afterward. After Dawson left, I realized I had completely forgotten to ask him about some additional plumbing work we needed done under the sinks in our master bedroom and bathroom. I contacted Chen Plumbing again, and they promptly arranged to have Dawson come back out the very next day. That kind of responsiveness and service is increasingly hard to find. Dawson and Chen Plumbing are the kind of people that others in the service industry should take note of. This is how you earn a customer for life: show up when you say you will, know what you’re doing, treat people well, be honest, and exceed expectations. They did exactly that. I won’t call another plumber. Chen Plumbing will be my first call for anything plumbing-related from now on, and I’ll gladly recommend Dawson and Chen Plumbing to anyone who asks. Absolutely outstanding experience from beginning to end. Five stars without hesitation.
