Client called us out to ensure the homes water pressure was not too high due to them having a few different leaks throughout the home in the recent past. Checked pressure at back hose connection, and home water pressure is good at 70 psi, safe range is 50-79 psi. Client has been experiencing a $600 water bill for awhile now so we looked at the water meter and he indeed does have a leak somewhere. When I turned off the ball valve inside the home, the water stopped running, indicating the leak is inside somewhere rather than outside. Went around and checked all the toilets In the home and none are running. In the crawlspace area I could hear the water running through the copper pipe just behind the wall running into the concrete slab for basement floor. Recommend client call National Leak Detection @ 404-579-1188 to have the, come out and locate the leak under the slab. So we can come back and give the estimate and perform the work repairing the leak under the slab.
For this customer did a couple things at their residence. First of all the customer decided to replace their 15 year-old water heater with a brand new commercial grade water heater. They had a 40 gallon and we were replaced it with a 50 gallon for that extra 10 gallons of hot water without in mind Got it all plumbed correctly extended the gas line installed a new thermal expansion tank with a bracket install a new ball valve with the tag for the ball valve and added all the necessary stickers that we supply and install. The customer decided to sign up for their membership to save a little bit of money and also get the annual water heater flush. With that all done and properly plumbed together with no gas and or water leaks, we moved onto installing a customer supplied reverse osmosis system underneath the sink. The customer supplied us with the water drop 600 G system, and we properly plumbed it to the pre-existing system had to draw a small hole in the wall tube for the drainage of th
Tested all previous work, no leaks were present from previous work. Re caulked around shower trim. Stated to customer to have tenant to use shower heavily for a week so we can see if we can recreate the leak. Give caulk 12 hours to dry.
Remove old tankless and haul away. Furnish and install new Navien tankless. Also replace corroded water lines. Also rework gas to put shut off properly. In attic above master bedroom, remove the existing tankless and hauled away. Furnish and installed new Navian in 240 a2 tankless. Also reworked water copper piping that was corded. Rework/replaced section of gas piping to install gas shut off valve in proper place. Down stairs in utility room installed new main house shut off valve and Prv. Tested all work and there was no water/gas leaks at this time. Tankless was producing hot water and set water pressure to 60 psi. Cleaned up work area.
Customer had a constantly running shower in backyard and a water hammering noise in primary shower in primary bath. Gave customer price for diagnostics in the primary shower and a price to replace the cartridge for the outdoor shower. Replaced Kohler shower cartridge in out door shower to repair the broken cartridge from freeze. Diagnosed Waterworks valve in the customer primary shower and noted low flow as well as valve stops that weren’t working and possible stuck partially closed. This is likely the cause of the hammering. Left customer pricing to replace or repair the valve. Customer will need to send Waterworks picture of valve in the wall for cartridge and stops assembly. Recommend repair over replacement. Trying to repair any older valves can have additional things break or strip that may not be able to be repaired.
CUSTOMER came out to a couple possible issues that he wanted us to take a look at we had installed the tankless water heater last year and I recommend getting the membership due to the fact that in our membership we offer to flush the tankless, so the customer likes saving money and he decided to get started with that. With that in mind he also had a toilet that he wanted us to look at and the toilet had some corrosion on the tank bolts but not too bad, the toilet isn’t leaking. However the toilet is old and I recommend getting it replaced with a new one. While I was in the crawl space I saw a section of copper that had a dead leg with to fixture running to it, I recommend to get that section replaced with 3/4 copper, so it would be brand new and wouldn’t leak, turned off the tankless unit when I turned off the water. Once complete there are no leaks.
Cody went over and beyond getting us flushing again! They stayed late and got the job done.
Customer had stoppage affecting multiple sinks on the left side of home. Attempted to run machine and camera through various points, clean outs, vents and other points of entry but was unable to clear system. Customer had approximately 50 feet of cast-iron left in home causing issue. cast-iron was very deteriorated inside line, determined to by camera. Gave customer options for cast-iron section re-pipe. return the following Monday to complete work, removed all trunk lines in crawlspace and reattached with new clean out outside, sealed penetration in wall, added test T in crawlspace below. reattach to all vertical portions of remaining cast-iron with approved connection methods after work was complete completed. Checked all areas for leaks ran a large amount of water to ensure proper drainage. Explain to customer about remaining cast-iron vertical sections. Also cut hole in wall in order to reattach to vent line explain to customer we do not repair areas that were cut. Lastly did minor
Returned to install the access panel in daughters bathroom for the previously replaced tub/shower valve.
For this homeowner came out to their house earlier last week to diagnose a two handle shower valve that was leaking. It was just the cold side that was leaking. However, I recommend the customer to buy the hot and cold stems just because it would be easier for them to know when it gets delivered without in mind install just the cold side stem because that was the problem. However, if we have to come back to install the hot side stem we can but considering it was just a cold and I recommended we just replaced the cold. We installed the cold with no leaks put the handle back on, had to modify the stem by cutting some threads off with the bandsaw, however, there is no leak from installation with that in mind. The customer also had people replacing the granite countertops and the granite people said that they would have a plumber come out and reassemble the kitchen sink faucet however they took out this kitchen sink faucet is not the way that I can go back in the parts are rusted so theref
We replaced two toilet with western elongated ADA toilets , replaced a toilet flange in master bathroom, fixed code violations for basement bathroom sink with new p trap and AAV
Water heater not working upon arrival. Customer stated he attempted to fix the water heater after the pilot light wouldn’t light. After looking noticed water heater to be 10 years old. Informed customer we would not be able to repair the water heater but we could replace it. Gave customer estimate, customer approved estimate. Installed new Rheem 50 gal gas tall with a new expansion tank, shutoff valve, pan and gas whip. Turned water back on to check for leaks and found none. Fired water heater up and set the temperature to 120 degrees. Water heater is fired up and no leaks upon departure
Quick response and great work. Thanks.
Client called us out due to some water in the basement, and some drains in the home backing up. We discovered that clients sewer line had collapsed under ground and was causing the sewage/water in the basement. We had to dig up and expose the collapsed line that was in basement area and under the asphalt driveway with good pvc pipe properly installed up to code, adding 2 cleanouts for future use if necessary and required by plumbing code. After replacing the collapsed line, we bedded down, then ran each fixture in the home to test our work for leaks and proper pitch. Everything looked great and clients issue is resolved. Unrelated to the collapsed pipe issue, we did a couple other repairs in the home per clients request. The water pressure reducing valve on the home was pretty old, and client decided to have it replaced as preventative maintenance due to them knowing the issues high pressure can cause. We added a new home water shutoff for client as well as a new whole home water
This customer the icemaker waterline that was installed to the icemaker box for some reason did not turn on whenever the lever was engaged in the water was on to the home so we didn’t know why it was not working so therefore, I recommended to run a new line installed a new half inch CPPCT and converted into packs and brought it up out of the way on top of the truck with strap and metal screws once installed there are no leaks. CUSTOMER is all set to enjoy their water.
Fixed gas line with water in it in crawl space , no charge
For this customer took a look at what she had going on the biggest complaint for was BROWN water. The homeowner does have brown water, and I believe it is due to the main water supply to the home from the meter to the inside of the utility room in the basement With that in mind what I’d recommend for them to do is replace the main waterline however I don’t know if it is galvanized or copper. The homeowner believes it is galvanized and that is the reason for the brown water. Also doing our inspection the tankless needs to be flushed out and or replaced at some point, but I believe it needs just needs to be flushed as of right now along with that garbage disposal in the kitchen is leaking so I recommended to get that replaced as well. At this time. The customer wants to wait on doing the repairs to get things done that aligns with her schedule.
For this customer, we did the annual plumbing inspection took a look at eight different bathrooms, six different sinks, including the two kitchen sinks in the kitchen following that took a look at the bidet and the toilet in the master along with the shower to lavatory sinks tub, and shower Following that also took a look at the master on main. The two laboratory sinks, following the tub in the shower and the toilet did a thorough inspection of everything. Nothing came up on the list other than a loose lavatory faucet in one of the bathrooms upstairs so therefore I gave an estimate for that as well. The customer had a two way clean out for their sewer line. They had to clean out one near the HVAC unit and one near the driveway so I tried to camera the one in the near the HVAC unit however I was going into water about 25 feet so therefore I used the other cleanout to go backwards into the home and there were some soft tissue blockages that I’d recommended to get those taken care of just
Today we replaced a main water shut off valve and Prv in crawl space . We also replaced some CPVC pipe to the eletric tankless water heater and installed service kit which did not have it previously. We also fixed low water pressure for kitchen faucet.
Shawn is that guy. 100% dependable, honest, and relatable.
Customer has 4 inch cast-iron line that is badly scaling on inside of pipe causing blockage attempted to clear line in various different ways, but was unable to clear. Camera line to determine severity of pipe, suggested to replace remaining section of cast-iron as parts of the house are already PVC. Will charge for today’s work. Cost of today will move into job for Monday. We’ll return Monday to replace approximately 40 to 50 feet of cast-iron piping.
Return to connect gas appliances after recent kitchen work. This was done at no charge as a courtesy for our maintenance member.
Quoted job and scheduled for Monday afternoon, discussed and signed up membership with customer too .
Return to install customer provided kitchen faucet. Removed failed American standard kitchen faucet and installed. Moen single handle pull down style faucet. Shut off valves were previously replaced this week, and pressure regulating valve has been checked. Installation of faucet was completed, and water tested. No leaks found. Pressure is normal and no blockages remain inside hot water lines.
Customer had a water heater that was 23 years old as well as an extensive amount of cast in encapsulated crawlspace that needs replacement. Left customer pricing for both.
Call to inspect plumbing and provide estimate ate for work. Discussed all concerns with Ms. Virginia. She has elected to replace the pressure regulating valve today, and I have provided all other information for the other projects here. Notes for plumber: Basement bathroom. Swapped shower head, issue resolved. Toilet very secure and installed well. Old style Kohler, repair parts obsolete. Drip at faucet (pressure too high). Install of kitchen sink will be on copper water main. Virginia states it is inside wall, so can be tied in to. Recommend new sink, as old one is plastic and will leak under load strain. Repair to existing sink can be made, but should wait to see if sink will remain. Master bathroom: three handle stem repair not feasible. Recommend replacement and drywall is already cut behind shower.. Cold side faucet is off because of cartridge failure or gasket failure. Pressure reduction may help, or Virginia has spare faucet. Attempted repairs would require liability note. 1
Remove existing toilet and furnish and install new toilet. Also install three new lavatory faucets. Upstairs in hall bath remove the existing toilet and hauled away. Furnish and installed new toilet. Also in the same bathroom replaced both 4 inch spread lavatory faucets. Tested all work and no leaks are present at this time. Caulked around base of toilet. Also replaced lavatory faucet in basement bathroom. In guest house was checking water heater and caused a leak on thermal expansion tank. Went ahead and replaced thermal expansion tank. Also customer approved estimate for us to return on March 13 to install a new water heater in guest house.
Returned and removed the old 50 gallon lowboy water heater and installed a new 50 gallon lowboy electric heater. Reconnected to existing water, electric, and t&p lines. Found a leak on the lower element from where a gasket pinched. Drained the tank back down and replaced the gasket. Tested all work to ensure proper functioning and no leaks. None were found. Waited for heater to produce hot water.
Fast, reliable, affordable and great service.
