Run camera from clean out to inspect sewer line outside of home.

Ran camera from pvc clean out and was only able to get about 30 feet out. Found that there looks to be a pipe separation and also root intrusion. Also there was lots of debris in pipe. Also found that 1 bathroom in basement is on a pump and the other is gravity. My recommendation for customer will be to replace sewer line and install an additional pump system for bathroom that is currently gravity. Ball park estimate for repairs that are needed will be between $23,000-$33,000.

Client called us out due to the sewage ejector pump for basement fixtures and kitchen drain not working anymore. We’ve been out previously to remove large amount of grease from the pump and pit and got it running again. This time the pump was burnt up and would no longer work. I believe this is due to the original installer not drilling a “weep hole” on the drain pipe causing the pump to get air locked and burn up. Client also had a continuous gas smell in the basement ongoing since last visit. Customer thought it might be the vent for the tankless water heater, which is incorrect. I bubble tested the gas connections checking for leaks and found a leak at the flex connector. Was able to tighten that up and stop that gas leak. We also turned up water pressure to 60 psi as it was 40 psi and we recently replaced the pressure reducing valves.

Today we replaced the burnt up sewage ejector pump with new and reconnected the discharge line and vent pipe and tested. Pump now running as it sho

For this customer we installed a new 40 gallon gas water heater in the crawl space, the previous water heater had gotten water in it from a external source, so therefore we installed a pan, piped into the sump pump pit. Installed a new thermal expansion tank and bracketed it to the water heater. Installed a new gas shut off valve, repiped the flex line, repiped all the water lines into copper, with a fresh new shut off valve, used cpvc transition fittings to copper to make the proper connection. Piped the t&p into the sump pump pit as well. No gas and or water leaks, tested with a gas meter.

Client called us out due to a water leak causing a very high water bill. Client had noticed the main floor bathroom toilet running constantly. We checked the other toilets in home and the upstairs hall bathroom toilet was also somewhat running. Checked water pressure and it was over 110 psi, safe range is 50-79 psi. Also, the thermal expansion tank on the dual nat gas water heaters had failed and was hanging full of water, due to the high water pressure in the home.

Client does have a leak outside on the irrigation system, BUT we were able to stop that leak by turning the system off. Client has irrigation guy coming this week.

Remove existing water heater and haul away. Furnish and install new 40 gallon gas, tall heater with new thermal expansion tank and drip pan under heater. Also install new tank shut off. Also rework piping. Removed old water heater. Furnish and installed new 40 gallon gas water heater with new thermal expansion tank and tank shut off. Also rework both hot and cold water lines. Tested and no leaks were present at this time. Bleed out as much air from the system as possible. Turned water heater on and there should be hot water within 45 minutes. Cleaned up work area. Also found that water pressure is at about 75 to 78 psi. Recommend recommended to customer have PRV replaced. Will send estimate to do so.

Water leak in yard upon arrival. Customer stated the city came and told him the leak was on his side. After digging found galvanized water service. Informed customer we could not repair the line but could replace it. Gave customer estimate, customer approved estimate. Returned to install new water service from meter to inside of house. Ran new 1 inch black poly line up to the house and stubbed copper out to connect. Installed new 1 inch ball valve at the meter with a new valve box. Turned water on to check for leaks and found no leaks. Customer now has new water service and no longer has galvanized in the ground. Left trench mounded so it will settle back even. Water line is working and no leaks upon departure

I would like to take a moment to thank Dawson and Austin for their total professional attitude from inspection to giving a quote to clean up. They showed great stamina and were polite and smiling throughout the project. And it was a huge project with busted and rusted main wrought iron sewer pipes going all the way out and halfway into the back yard. We wish them the very best.
