Customer had 11 year old heater and was interested in tankless replacement. Replaced heater with tankless Naiven 240A. Also installed Naiven crossover tee in master bath for recirculation. Made new penetration for vent on new system and capped old vent. After work was complete, checked all areas of work for leaks and proper function.

Installed shut off valve for outside hose bib on right side of house. Replace lift and turn tub drain in hall bathroom. Tested to ensure a leak free install. Left quote for sewage ejection pump and basin lid.

Technician: Shawn (Shawn.bush@chenplumbing.com) Account History: Long-term customer with multiple prior visits by our company Customer Concern Robin contacted us reporting dripping from a couple of faucets and a non-functioning garbage disposal that began shortly after our recent water heater replacement. She was understandably concerned that the new water heater installation may have caused or contributed to these new issues. Findings & Diagnosis Upon arrival, we conducted a thorough inspection of the plumbing system and affected fixtures in this 1925 Atlanta home: Main water service is copper from the city meter into the home (old galvanized piping is present but has been fully abandoned). Pressure-regulating valve (PRV) was replaced by our company in 2024; previous 2010 PRV still on site, confirming normal service life. A properly sized thermal expansion tank was installed by our team during the recent water heater replacement. Water pressure is within normal operating range. Fix

Call for estimates on work in newly purchased home. Discussed concerns with Jamal. Inspection revealed the most immediate issues as the pressure regulating valve, water heater, and two toilets. I have provided an estimate to perform this work.

Call for toilet install. Arrived and spoke with Krista. She states that the hallway bathroom is being remodeled, and they are concerned that the toilet flange may need to be replaced. Krista needs the toilet to be installed immediately. I assessed flange and found that it is a cast iron flange and in good condition. The wax ring still had some paper on it, and no indication that it was making good contact with the old toilet, which I believe is what led to subfloor damage before their remodel. I also noticed a capped hot shut off valve wi5 a drip on it, and a very old cold shut off valve with male threads. Pressure on house is 50 psi (good). Ryan and Krista plan on finishing the bathroom soon, and a Ready have vanity and faucet on site. I installed the new toilet, and left the bottom without caulking as requested. Installed two new quarter turn shut off valves, and left supply lines with faucet in front room.

Return to complete quoted work. Dug up sewer line and waterline in front of house, between house and driveway. Waterline was dug up to install a ball valve, as existing gate valve has a snapped stem and gate does not function. Upon digging, we discovered the main line before the valve is galvanized waterline. After gate valve is copper one inch main pipe. Due to small space and restrictions, I rerouted the waterline to allow the installation of a ball valve, and installed a small box to avoid the valve being buried as the previous valve was. Slowly pressurized main line to pressurize building. Building pressurized over 10-15 minutes. Sewer line was dug up and replaced from near foundation to mainline 3-4 feet deep. We removed an additional section on site because it was so deteriorated that if fell apart during the course of work. New sewer is pvc, and a two way cleanout has been installed. Customer had smell coming from floor sink that was covered with metal plate and counter top. Cut small hole in bottom of cabinet. Moved out plate. Inserted wing nut to seal floor sink. Put cabinet back to best of ability. Not responsible for any additional cabinet restoration.

Toilet flushometer leaking at the vacuum breaker union. Tried to tighten but it just made the leak worse. Took apart and found the vacuum breaker had a split gasket. We replaced the vacuum breaker. No further issue. Tested multiple times.

Came out for smell coming from upstairs shower. Opened drain and found lots of hair and soap scum building. Bacteria sitting in drain p trap causing odor. Cleaned pipe with wall to wall pipe cleaner and removed all build up. Treated drain with bleach to kill off any remaining bacteria. No further issue at this time.

Came out for high water pressure. Tested and found water pressure was at 132 psi. Received approval to install high pressure and standard double PRV set up, and replace 5 gallon expansion tank. Set new water pressure to 75 psi for regular PRV, 90 psi for high pressure prv. Set expansion tank to 75 psi. Tested to ensure a leak free install. Did have to cut some drywall to make enough space for the prv’s. No further issue at this time.

Client called us out to check out a couple different plumbing issues. The master bath toilet tank was broken, therefore requiring a new toilet. Also, the master bath shower valve was very corroded and old, and a trim piece was missing. We went and picked up the new customer supplied comfort height American standard toilet and came back to install. When old one was pulled up, we discovered the flange was broken. So, we repaired that broken flange with spanner repair flange, then put the new closet bolts and wax seal down. The flange is very unlevel, but we were able to set the new toilet and tighten it down with shims under it to make it sturdy. Also replaced that toilet shutoff valve and supply line. Also installed aftermarket gold handle per request. Caulked around base of toilet leaving the back 1/3 open so leaks will still show instead of being trapped by caulk all around. Customer had a slow draining kitchen sink and a stopped up toilet. Cut in a cleanout, ran a camera, and ran chains to clear blockage of wipes and grease about 20 foot past the cleanout. Ran the camera around 85 feet and found clear pipes except for the grease in the cast. Jetting is recommended for a more long term solution. Pulled toilet that was backed up and reversed augured the toilet to see what was stopping up the toilet. Cautioned customer that the augur may scratch the toilet and that if it can’t be freed we might have to break the toilet to see what it is. Removed and reversed augured the toilet and found that it was clogged with tissue paper. Augered the toilet and then had to reverse augur. Pulled toilet and confirmed no water standing in the vertical drain. Confirmed no additional stoppages in the trap. The toilet isn’t flushing correctly. Informed customer it appears to be a toilet issue. Customer will contact American Standard.

Customer needs smoke test to identify if smell is coming from plumbing.

Homeowners state that they have a few plumbing issues they wanted fix which included a couple of faucets and shower that leaks. Upon arrival homeowner greeted me they garage door and explained the situation took me to the kitchen sink the sink in the pantry the next was was the bathroom sink first floor and the other two sinks were located upstairs. I did my inspection and found that the pressure was high and the expansion tank was blown. I offered some solutions to the homeowners and they agreed to fix the pressure pull and reset a toilet and the faucets repair. I began by shutting off the meter and draining the home and went to the basement and replaced the PRV with a new model and ball valve shut off. Then I moved to the kitchen faucet and tightened the nuts on the handles the sprayer and the head I did the same to the pantry faucet and the first floor bathroom faucet. Customer needed shower cartridge replacement for customer provided cartridge. Replaced and checked for proper operation and leaks.

Customers hosebibb needed replacement. Replaced hose Bibb and secured to wall. Checked for leaks and proper function.

Customer had a leaking from the t&p valve on a water heater from August of 2014. Recommended replacement due to age of heater. Customer approved work for new water heater and gas line upgrade due to copper gas lines no longer meeting code requirements. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks.

Customer had garbage disposal go back and leak out side of disposal. Suggested to replace disposal to fix issue. Also found heater of 2008. Inside bedroom closet. Recommended to replace due to age and location of heater. After replacement of heater and thermal expansion tank with new bracket, checked for leaks and proper function. Took of trim to get heater installed in closet. Put back trim and recauked trim. Checked with customer for satisfaction of trim replacement.

Call to perform quoted work. Drained and removed failed gas water heater in basement. Old unit did not have expansion tank mounting bracket or drip pan. Installed new 50 gallon gas water heater. Thermal expansion tank installed and mounted to bracket. Drip pan installed under unit. Pressurized unit, set to same temperature s previous unit. Installation sticker pl ed on unit with install date. I also wrote notes on the unit at Ms. Melinda’s request, specifically mentioning when to replace pressure regulating valve, where to flush and how often, and what the pressure is currently set to. Flushed all hot water lines by running water at full capacity to help remove any residual discolored water from lines. As a courtesy, I replaced the yellow seal on an upstairs Kohler toilet. Notes for plumber: steep hill, carpet floors and finished basement. Copper water lines. No drip pan present. Came out for various issues. Customer was getting rust in their toilets. Water pressure was in normal range but they wanted it increased. Water heater was from 2012. House still had the original galvanized water service. Left quote to replace the water service. Installed sediment filter after the PRV on the crawlspace. Removed water heater from garage and capped off plumbing. Installed new 50 gallon lowboy electric water heater in crawlspace. Connected piping and filled water heater. Homeowner is having an electrician connect the power for it. Adjusted water pressure to 75 psi. Ensured a leak free installation. Left 1 extra replacement filter for the sediment filter. Filter needs to be replaced every 3 months. No further issue at this time.

Technician: Shawn Call for several plumbing issues. Arrived and met with Billy. He gave me an overview of the home and current issues and concerns. Supply line in garage utility sink has broken. Water near toilet in master bathroom. And bad odor from dishwasher and from washing machine. Major remodel performed in 2012-2013 timeframe, with the master bathroom and laundry being an addition to home with new plumbing. New water service has been ran recently, from meter to home. Dishwasher is very new, less than one year. Kitchen plumbing has been replumbed with pvc and copper. While investigating concerns I found the following: Galvanized main line was replaced with plastic line, but pressure regulating valve has not been replaced. Pressure read over 100psi. Water heater is 11 years old. Thermal expansion tank bladder has flattened and is no longer functioning. Pluming up inside home is mostly pvc and copper, with some remaining cast iron. Toilets in new addition do have the gray specks

Fixed busted copper pipe inside wall behind toilet , opening wall in hallway , replaced pipe with new copper pipe to toilet with new shut off valve and supply line

Customer states that they needed to copper lines capped with propress fittings today and called us to come out and do the work. Upon arrival customer meet me in the loading dock area and took me to the mechanical room of the 8th floor where the two lines are located. After inspection I offered the solution he was looking for and agreed to cap the two lines. Had go to the shop and pick up the big propress and fittings then I returned to the loading dock and waited for them to come and let me in the building. I cut out two sections on the first pipe prepped it and then pressed the cap on and same thing on the other pipe. After capping them they tested the caps by running water and they work properly no leaks or issues and customer is satisfied with the service provided.
