Replaced a bad 75 gallon gas water heater with a new one , no charge , warranty call

Call for water heater leaking. Arrived and met with Matt and Angie. They have a 15 year old water heater leaking from the interior tank. Water is draining in to floor drain. Checked pressure on house and found it to be ~100psi @~330pm on a weekend. Water main appears to be copper, although some galvanized pipe is still present in the home. I recommend replacing water heater and pressure regulating valve. I also discussed finance options for this project and offered to assist with financing if desired.

Call for leak on mainline. Arrived and met with Ms. Marla. She is preparing for her late mother’s home to be sold, and the neighbors called her to say there was water flooding the backyard. They came and found a break on the main line. Several lumping companies have been out to offer opinions and estimates. My findings and recommendations are as follows: Findings: one inch pvc line from meter. Transition to 3/4 inch copper near home. Transition location unknown. No evidence of irrigation lines. Marla stated that a few points were brought up from other companies. The waterproof seal around the waterline is not holding. Hydraulic cement can be used to patch this at no additional cost. Another recommendation was to replace the copper line going through the foundation. I do not think that the copper should be replaced. Call for sewage pump alarm. Arrived and met with Tim. They have a livery dual pump system installed outside for the whole home. The original sewer line had settling issues, which prompted Tim to have the pump systems installed approximately 15 years ago. The system has a few issues. The pumps are very deteriorated, the float switch has failed, the basin cover has settled and pushed the sewer line down approximately one inch, and the air admittance valve needs to be replaced. I discussed the issues and solutions with Tim. He would like to replace the system due to age and condition. I gave a ballpark estimate, as the plumbing supply houses open on the weekend were unavailable to provide availability of parts. Will return a call or text Monday to confirm availability and schedule replacement.

Replaced a leaking GLAV pipe in main control room with all copper pipe and propress fittings

Found high water pressure 100 psi and bad unsupported expansion tank , replaced both today with proper support for expansion tank

Customer stated that everything in house was backing up. Stated to customer first steps will be to pull toilet and run camera to inspect sewer line and customer agreed. Went ahead and pulled toilet in master bath, and ran camera and found that there was a blockage outside of home. Dug up at marked location and broke pipe. Now customer will be able to use bathroom throughout the night and will return tomorrow to install new sewer line from home to street. Returned and installed new sewer line from house to city. Install a two-way cleanout by home and install a 6 inch cleanout for city. Cover back soil and cleaned up work area as best as we can. Recommended to customer to wait about three weeks and then call landscaper.

Customer wanted to replace disposal with customer provided disposal. After replacement, checked for leaks and proper function. No power to disposal. Explained to customer. Customer wanted to proceed with install and handle electrical problem. Checked for leaks. Found copper drainline leaking. Replaced section with 1 1/2inch pvc piping. Checked for leaks and proper drainage.

Checked water pressure, found at 100 psi , need new Prv and expansion tank with bracket , emailed quote to Mr Patel

Came out today to replace the bell and gosset booster pump up in the ceiling that we had previously looked at. Client bought their own replacement booster pump and new unions. We removed the old pump and began to remove the unions. Got the first one off, and while trying to get off the 2nd, the old copper pipe pulled right out of the solder joint due to it being in the fitting only a quarter of the way. So, we ended up replacing that 1” ball valve with new propress ball valve, replaced the check valve with new spring check, then proceeded to pipe the rest of the pump in. Pump is supported by a clevis hanger and fastened to the concrete ceiling with all thread rod. Got air out and tested. After tightening up a small drip on the unit, we are good to go. 1 yr labor warranty Service fee is no longer waived for commercial work. Bill out.

Did not find any problems today

Customer stated that when toilet was flushed, the toilet wasn’t flushing. Also lavatory in bathroom was draining slow. Give customer option to pull toilet and run camera to inspect line and customer agreed. When I had and pulled toilet in master bath and ran camera. Found soft tissue stoppage, right drain pipe leaves home. Cleared stoppage and inspected the rest of the line as far out as I could go. Didn’t notice any other stoppages at this time. Reset toilet and tested. No leaks are present this time so caulked around base of toilet. Cleaned up work area. Recommended to customer to have cast-iron piping replaced and will send estimate to do so. No warranty on drain cleaning

Client called us out due to our recently installed toilet rocking. In original install we had put a toilet shim sticking out the back of the toilet to prevent that issue. It was missing causing the toilet to rock. I got a new shim and cut it to where it doesn’t stick out from under the toilet so it doesn’t get removed again.

Came out today to cut hole in water stained Sheetrock ceiling in garage to see what is leaking. We cut a hole and found the majority of the stains are from roof leaks, and the other one would be from the bathroom that leaked upstairs.

Customer had garbage disposal jammed. Disposal was very seized. Used disposal wrench to unjam disposal. Ran water with disposal on to check for leaks and proper function.

Came out to this CUSTOMER‘s house because they have a dripping faucet they had supplied us with a brand new faucet. The customer was going off installation of a quote from 6 to 8 months ago however, there is no quote that is in my system to see the price for the faucet the previous plumber said it would be more expensive for us to install a two or three hole faucet in the kitchen sink when there’s already a single hole I recommended to install the customer supplied faucet however, the customer had declined did not take a look at the water heaters nor the water pressure at time of service. This visit was short and sweet. The customer will give us a call back if they decide to go with the faucet install installation

Quoted a water pipe repair for a office building

Came out today to install the water pressure reducing valve and the condensate neutralizer for the new ice machine. Also added a supply line for the new dishwasher and hooked up. Everything seems to be running as it should be.

For this job we install a new seal for the customer supplied faucet. In order for us to replace the old seal, we needed to uninstall the faucet amd reinstall the faucet to install the new seal that the customer provided us to install. After the install, we soaked the granite to see if it would leak down, no leaks customer is all set. New seal had the perfect fit, the previous seal looked like it was cut the installed after the faucet was installed. No issues at this time

Client called us out due to a leak from upstairs toilet that has caused damage in garage ceiling. There’s 4 separate spots in the garage ceiling which tells me there’s more leaks up there than the toilet. Water pressure is 100 psi, safe range is 50-79 psi. The water heater is rusted out and leaking in multiple places. Today we rebuilt the upstairs leaking toilet that was leaking from the bottom of the fill valve with new fill valve, new flapper, and new toilet supply line. Tested, no leaks or issues. Gave the estimates to address these other major plumbing issues and client wants to think it over. Will return tomorrow morning with taller ladder to cut Sheetrock garage ceiling and figure out where the rest of the water is coming from. CLIENT RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHEETROCK REPAIR NECESSARY. TOILET REBUILD IS NO WARRANTY DUE TO HIGH WATER PRESSURE.

Return to install water heater and replace pressure regulating valve. Removed old water heater. In order to remove unit, we removed small quarter inch trim pieces of both sides and the bottom of access doorway. I removed door, and reinstalled door after the work. New water heater was installed. Expansion tank and mounting bracket installed. New shit off valve. Removed excessive fittings and removed tension from pipes. Re routed t&p line. Installed drip pan under unit. Secured vent with screws instead of just tape. Removed pressure regulating valve and replaced with new valve. Lao remove all remaining galvanized piping from this section. Installed new hose Bibb, including dedicated shut off valve. Silicone applied to surrounding of hose spigot. When pressurizing I did notice some crossover occur in, which was a complaint previously. Charlie expressed nothin*that is consistent with hot water crossing when pressurized, and expressed this as a low priority as it was not causing hot wa

Customer stated they randomly smell a sewer smell in the living room area. Did quick inspection and did not notice any smell or any visual indications of why they would randomly have a sewer smell even when no one is home. Left a quote for to do a smoke test for further diagnostic.
