Replaced a old Bosch tankless water with navien npe 240 A2 water heater

Called out for a leaking water heater. Water heater had rusted through, wag valve had done its job and stopped the leak from getting worse. Received approval to replace water heater and install new flood stop device. Tested to ensure proper function and a leak free install. Went around to all bathrooms and cleared discolored water and sediment from each fixture. Kitchen faucet electronic solenoid was clogged and causing faucet to leak water constantly. Customer had the replacement part already so we swapped it out. No further issue.

For this job, gas line for the natural gas grill had a hole in the gas line. I could hear it from where I was standing, and I put some bubble solution on it to further identify if that is where the gas leak is coming from the customer said it was somewhere in that area and I was able to locate it didn’t think that we were gonna have to do a gas pressure test to find it because it was after a shut off valve so it would be kind of pointless if we were to do a gas pressure test so therefore it wasn’t needed. I was able to find it and recommended. We just go ahead and replace that supply line with brand new one went and picked one up from Ace Hardware because that is the only place that sells them locally and put it in. Went back with the quick connect and into the grill once complete no leaks tested it after tested the grill after to make sure it lit up the customers all set and no further issues at this time.

Customer has leak coming from shower valve. Leak seems to be coming from cartridge. Customer had shower valve. Gave option to replace cartridge or install Customer provided shower valve. Customer wants to wait on work.

This customer has a leak whenever they run water on the sink. The water will leak down to the gasket through the bottom of the sink with the vanity down through the supply lines. There’s no active leak by running the water on the drain or the supply lines, but when water is used and splashed on the counter, it gets wet causes the issue, and as a result, the gasket would be have to be replaced and or the whole faucet gave recommendations of what should be done at this time. There’s nothing I can do until the replacement gasket comes in pressure is fine tankless water heater is fine. The customer was interested in water filtration so I recommended a couple different options and he was also interested in the Moen flow. He will let us know when he would like to do that as well.

Customer had penny lodged in disposal. Unjammed disposal and checked for proper function.

Customer had two toilets leaking. One leaking from tank to bowl and another leaking from fill valve. Gave options for repair/replacements in order to fix issues. Also found pressure to be 120PSI. Explained to customer about condition of pressure and gave option to fix. Customer wanted to wait on pressure repair. Did minor and major rebuild to fix issues. Minus a few parts customer did not want to replace. After repairs, checked for leaks and proper function. Explained to customer about warranty coverage due to pressure and potential issues. Found PRV in box outside.

For this customer had to replace the fill valve and flapper supply line in Ingle stop in order to properly fix what was wrong on the plumbing toilet. After that we got that retrofitted. There are no leaks. Had to wait for the CBC glue to dry in order to make sure nothing CUSTOMER had an individual show off valve so therefore we were able to do the work on the second floor once complete. There are no leaks. Wasn’t able to check water pressure due to the fact that the water pressure would be at the building and not for the condo.

Customer stated that garbage disposal wasn’t working. Took a look and found that reset button has been tripped. Hit reset button and pulled out cookie maker frame from disposal and tested. Now disposal is working as it should and no leaks were present at this time. No charge for today due to customer had credits and also no warranty for work today.

Returned and installed new Navien NPE240A2 in the front of the home. Went of the logistics of location with customer again and reconfirmed that the front of the house install was ok since a bush is hiding it from plain view. Ran new pex water supplies to the front through cinder block and attached with 1 inch walled insulation to the new unit. Ran a new gas line to the unit from the meter and installed an outdoor vent topper and box below the unit. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found. Customer didn’t have an electrician install and outdoor gfci box yet. Ran an extension cable until the line can be run. Customer requested that the old water heater be left where it is. Installed an isolation valve for the outgoing hot, isolated both water lines, and pulled the breaker. Gave customer estimates to replace the water heater. As well as installing customer supplied shower valve and widespread faucet

Came out today due to a gas smell in the home. Tested all connections in the crawlspace under the home and did not see a leak there. Moved on to the water heater gas connections and found 3 separate leaks on that section. Removed all the old galvanized gas piping and replaced with black iron. Tested, no more leaks. This customer called us out to replace a showerhead because the showerhead continued to drip and drip and drip however, that was not the issue. The issue at hand was the factor of the shower cartridge then needed to be replaced. It was a specialty cartridge that Home Depot, Lowe’s or any big box store wouldn’t carry so I had to run over to the Dixie supply house in Marietta to get the part. The part is a price phisfter shower cartridge that pulls out I was able to obtain that cartridge and put it back in. Also went ahead and replaced the handle with it so it would be all nice and brand new following that put the trim plate back together and re-caulked the trim plate in bright white and once complete there are no leaks. CUSTOMER is all set. The water pressure on the house is 60 psi and the water heater is from last year. We installed it

Call for shut off valve for hoses. Arrived and spoke with Jared. He is concerned because one of the hose spigot shut off valves is not closing. When inspecting we found that one valve has seized, and another is in a deteriorated state. The back shut off valve is impractical to reach as well. We replaced both shut off valves and relocated them to a more accessible location. Pressurized house and checked for leaks. No issues found.

For this job, we removed and capped off a old gas line that the customer has they have a hot tub that is going to be removed on their deck, so therefore the gas line had to be removed with it so therefore, I disconnected all the gas piping from the heater and from the meter as well install the plug on the T rather than taking the T out and re-piping that as well once that was complete. There’s no gas leaks, tested it with bubbles customers all set on that. They also had an icemaker waterline that needed to be either replaced or capped so the customer wanted to cap the gas line in the crawlspace, but still if they ever wanted to tie onto The waterline it could be uncapped in an angle stop or a waterline can be reinstalled at this time, there are no further issues no gas and or water leaks

Came out to assess the wobbly toilet in staff bathroom. We did not set the toilet flange, the flooring guys did. The toilet is an inch off the floor on shims all around and the flange is not properly secured or fastened to the concrete. Gave estimate to properly fix. Client will let us know at a later date.

Recall to relight water heater. Second water heater in basement was not relit after gas work.

Crawlspace flooding during bad storms upon arrival. Customer stated their basement has flooded twice and they are looking to add a sump pump. Gave customer estimate to install new sump pump including pit, discharge line 40-50 ft, and new sump pump. This price is if we do not have to bust up concrete. Informed customer if concrete needed to be be busted up it would be an additional cost.

Return to correct issues identified during last week’s visit. Flushed and drained water heater to remove from closet. Once water heater was out we lifted platform to original height, and installed new lumber to support unit. Previously water heater was only supported by leaning on hvac unit. Cleaned behind unit while it was out. Reinstalled water heater. Unit has been lit and is currently heating. Cut wall in closet to attempt to replace pressure regulating valve. Found that no shut off or prv existed. Changed scope of work to include the addition of. Prv and shut off valve. Brought these components out of the wall to be accessible for use and maintenance. Cleaned space and applied plastic over drywall hole. Installed customer supplied kitchen sink, this sink came with a faucet which was installed as well. New garbage disposal has been installed. Secondary drain line was capped. Upstairs bathroom drain was draining a little slow. Removed p trap and cleaned as needed a courtesy. Aft

For this job, the customer had a couple different complaints. The one of the main complaints is the bathroom in the guest hallway doesn’t get super hot so I took out my thermometer to test the water temperature. His water heater is set to be which is indicating 130° however we weren’t getting 130° out of the faucet so we got 110 out of the faucet so I knew that there was a problem with the shower cartridge and potentially the recirculation pump, we have replaced the water heater this year, but we didn’t replace the recirculation pump with it so what I recommended is we go ahead and replace the recirculation pump along with the new check valve Following that a new cartridge as . Once those two items were complete. There are no leaks on the Delta cartridge. There was a slight leak from the bonnet nut because the bonnet nut wasn’t completely tightened. So once I got everything tightened tested turn on the water there’s no leak and was reading the correct temperature now Addition to that w

Called out today due to the men’s bathroom upstairs in the office leaking from the back onto the floor. It was leaking from the flange, which had a wax ring on it, as well as a rubber gasket which is not supposed to be used together. Removed the old wax and gasket and installed new wax ring with horn and re hung the wall hung toilet and fastened the 4 bolts. While putting back together, noticed a small drip at the toilet spud. Tightened it up just a bit, and it got worse. Removed and saw the rubber sealing gasket for it was completely gone which is why is did what it did. Replaced that toilet spud after rehanging and tested. No more leaks. Advised client to not use that toilet for at least 48 hours.

Water heater leaking from t&p line upon arrival. Customer stated the t&p line was running outside so he tried to relieve the pressure and when he opened the t&p valve it started to leak at the water heater as well. Customer stated he wanted to replace the water heater due to age. Gave customer estimate to install new Rheem 40 gal gas short water heater and code upgrades. Customer approved estimate. Installed new water hater with new expansion tank, shutoff, new pan, new gas whip. Turned on water to check for leaks, found no leaks. Fired up water heater. Water heater is fired up and working properly. No leaks upon departure
