Upon arrival customer stated that the water lines are making a hammering sound. Checked pressure and it was 70psi but when water was running the pressure dropped to 15 psi. Gave customer estimate to replace PRV. Customer approved the estimate. Installed new PRV. All systems working with no leaks or issues.

Cut walls and ceiling to locate main shut off for unit and hundred plus year-old apartment building. Chen Plumbing is not responsible for any drywall repair that will be necessary after cutting. Main shut off is not located before T connection, price for building shutdown and installation of shut off. If main shut off is found, shut down water to unit and drain down. Cut out and extend half-inch cold line underneath kitchen faucet. Install T connection and individual shut off valves for icemaker line to refrigerator and cold line to kitchen faucet.

Furnish and install three-quarter prv and thermal expansion tank,also use track pipe to move gas line in wall behind gas stove Installed new shut off and PRV to house. Adjusted pressure to safe limit replace expansion tank on water heater installed mounting bracket to support expansion tank, move gas line behind wall so Stove would sit flush. Work is tested and complete

Upon arrival customer stated that one of the sinks in the master bathroom was leaking and the other was draining slow. Gave customer estimate to replace the pop up and clear drain. Customer approved estimate. Installed new pop up and cleared drain. All systems working properly.

For this job, I worked on installing a new hose bib.

Customer stated that basement bathroom was draining slowly and also that sewer injection pump wasn’t working. Found that pump basin was full of water. Recommend to customer to have sewer injection pump replaced. Furnished and installed new sewer injection pump with quit check valve. Tested for proper operation and leaks. At time of departure pump was working as it should and no leaks where present at this time. Also sealed basin. Customer also mentioned that tenant in basement would flush flushable wipes and recommend not to. If pump gets jammed with anything that’s not supposed to get flushed Chen will not warranty. Cleaned up work area.

For this job, I worked on removing tub spout for customer and left it prepped for when the new one comes in.

Emailed quote for few inspection items

Replaced water heater. Installed 75 gallon gas water heater. Installed grundfos recirculating pump, and 2 return lines. Replaced 20’ of gas piping and brought up to code. Fixed some safety issues where gas piping was touching single walled vent piping.

We replace main water service line from meter to inside of crawl space . 50 gallon gas water heater was also replaced in laundry room Pro was replaced in crawspace 8 inch spread faucet was replaced in master bathroom

Upon arrival customer stated that Atlanta gas light found 4 leaks on the gas line. Gave customer estimate to fix 3 of the leaks and leaving customer with estimate to fix the last leak. Customer approved estimate. Installed new gas coupling with gas wip, installed mega press couplings with a new t, and capped gas line in laundry room. All systems working with no leaks. Leaving customer with an estimate to run a new gas line to pool heater.

Customer had rear hose bib dripping. Tested house pressure at 65 psi confirming a functioning prv. Checked the thermal expansion tank and found that it had a ruptured bladder. Noted to customer that the t&p line was dripping and the heater is around 13 years old. Replacement is recommended. Replaced the bonnet on the hose bib as a courtesy along with the heater replacement. Replaced the water heater, shutoff, and thermal expansion tank. Installed a new pan under the heater. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found.

Customer stated that there was a leak on drain line upstairs lavatory faucets. Replaced section of drain and tested. Everything now is drain as it should and no leaks where present at this time. Also there will be no warranty due to drawers can bump drain line and cause issues. Cleaned up work area.

Advised customer on plumbing issues. Gave estimate for water heater replacement and kitchen faucet replacement. Secured outdoor hose Spicket and replaced split and hose connection.

Jetted terracotta mainline from outside cleanout. Cleared roots from multiple hubs. Sewer line still has severe belly where it ties into the manhole in the street. Major root blockage next to the tree in the neighbors yard. Roots have broken chunk of the terracotta off the top left corner of the pipe which you can see in the pictures. We were able to cut a fist sized hole straight thought the roots. Terracotta is heavily cracked and did not want to cut roots further to avoid collapsing the line 5’ deep in the neighbors yard. Neighbor has a massive tree, retaining wall, sidewalk, and a/c condenser, all over top of the necessary excavating sight. Left quote to reroute line from the house to the manhole should the need arise to replace the sewer. Highly Recommend removing the tree with permission of the city of Atlanta before home is left without viable use of the sewer service, repairing or replacing the sewer line will result in extensive damage to the trees root structure. Added 90 day

We came out to replace 50 gallon electric water heater in crawlspace /mechanical room

Adjusted fill valve for toilet no other issues present

Upon arrival customer wanted a laundry room double sink installed. Customer supplied all materials. Need faucet installed, water lines to be rerouted ,and drain to be hooked up. Gave customer estimate customer approved estimate. Installed new double sink, rerouted the water lines, installed the new faucet, and hooked up drain. Tested all systems systems are working with no leaks or issues.

Customer stated pedestal sink drain line was not draining, remove pedestal sink and attempted to access line. However, inlet line was 1 inch too small for any drain cleaning device to properly clean, Attempted anyway, with No success, inform customer that next step would be To cut section of sheet rock out and find trap arm and run Drain cleaning equipment down line, Customer approved, ran snake about 8 feet pushed what appeared to be hair downline, re did drain for pedestal sink, confirmed line was no longer clogged. Ran water for 20 minutes downline. Also, left quote for thermal expansion replacement, and to move gas line into wall. Work is tested and complete

Snaked main line. Found roots. Returning tomorrow to jet the line.

Several leaks in the basement on the gas piping. Repiped junction between 3 branches and the gas main. Found another leak up in the attic which we also repaired. No further issue at this time.
