Upon arrival, the customer reported that a tree had fallen on the property and that water was observed accumulating in the parking lot the following day. The customer was concerned about a potential underground water leak. I explained that we could perform a leak search to evaluate the situation, and the customer approved the estimate. During the evaluation, I inspected the incoming water service to the building and observed that the service line entering the building appeared to be copper, while the piping extending from the water meter appeared to be PVC. I checked the flow rate and found that it was registering zero at the time of inspection. Based on the available findings, I was unable to confirm the source or exact location of the water accumulation. I discussed the next steps with the customer and recommended shutting off the irrigation system for several days to determine whether the standing water in the parking lot begins to recede. Customer had a blockage last night upon arrival. Customer stated that the basement toilet and sink backed up and over flowed. After running sink and flushing toilet informed customer we could run our camera to see if they were still having a blockage or not. Gave customer estimate, customer approved estimate. Ran camera and found a blockage at 71ft. After looking at the history on the call found customer has had a camera ran before and they found a pipe penetrated through the sewer line by the road. After locating where my camera was in the yard it is around 2 ft off the curb. Left a grey spray painted mark of where the issue is. Customer is going to reach out to the city and see if they will fix the issue. Left customer with estimate for us to dig it up.
Upon arrival, customer recently had new sink installed. Customer is requesting we remove garbage disposal and faucet and install onto new sink. Provided customer estimate, customer approved estimate. Installed new faucet and garbage disposal. Kitchen sink is working properly at departure. No leaks at departure.
