Job Locations and Reviews
Matthew was very thorough and thoughtful. He explained what was going on thoroughly and in a way that was easy to understand.

Walk-through several plumbing issues with customer and gave estimates.

Customer had leaking hose spigot that has been repaired before. Customer asked if I could just replace valve without having to cut the walls on the inside. Shut down water and drain down portable water system. Boiled out water at low point Spicket. Removed and soldered on new Hose Spicket.
Cody and the Chen team did excellent work. This was the second time he was here. He shows fantastic knowledge of his craft, great professionalism, and a can do work ethic. The Chen team as a whole was extremely responsive and got us service for our septic line repair quickly.

Customer had roots in 4” cast iron sewer line. Dug down with excavator and replaced 15” section with PVC back to existing clean out. After repair checked for leaks then backfilled to rough grade. Later replaced thermal expansion tank and secure to wall with bracket. Set PSI of tank to 60PSI. checks for leaks.
Price is to furnish and install Navien tankless unit to existing gas, water, and new venting in according with national and state code requirements. Price includes provision, mounting, connections, and any lines that need to be run to the unit, as well as penetrations for venting to the exterior of the home. Returned and installed new Navien tankless water heater with a new service valve kit, thermal expansion device, and condensate pump. Made new penetrations to the exterior of the home for the vent, condensate, and t&p. Ran new gas and water lines to the unit. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found. Upon testing the t&p found that water is leaking into the crawlspace in the ground where the condensate pump is sitting. Made customer aware that getting a foundation company to inspect the crawlspace seal is crucial to protecting the new equipment.

Customer had drain clog in cast iron below ground. Pulled toilet ran machine past clean out outside to ensure line was cleared. Camera line before and after to check condition of pipe. Found roots at 50ft. Gave estimate for further repair. Reset toilet. Checked for leaks.

Homeowner states that he has had several leaks over the last week or so and called us to fix the issues. Upon arrival homeowner greeted me and showed the kitchen faucet and the pipe that leak as well as the kitchen faucet. We then proceeded to the upstairs master bathroom and the vanity faucet on right side was shut off for same reason. Finally I did my inspection and found that the pressure was high and recommended replacing the PRV adding an expansion tank and fixing the leaking pipes under kitchen sink. Customer agreed but also wanted me to install the kitchen faucet and I agreed to install it for doing the three main issues which homeowners agreed. I began with shutting off the meter and removing the old PRV and installing a new model and ball valve shut off then I moved to the GWH and added a bracket with an expansion tank and capped off the pressure relief valve and removed it. Finally I moved to the kitchen and removed the old shut offs and installed pex adapters and used pex pi

Atlanta gas light notice a leak on the gas fuel line the feeding to the front of the house lamp lantern. I go down under the crawlspace and cap off the feeding supply line to that lantern. The crawlspace have a very low entrance of 1 foot height very difficult access. Customer have little to no hot water, low water pressure on the hot side of the fixture. Electric water heater is 15 years old. I replace the water heater with a 50 gallon tall electric water heater and bring everything up to code. When I go under the crawlspace, I noticed partial of the house is galvanized pipe waterline. The pipe is very corroded and leaking. Also, the inside of the pipe is very corroded. Have very small opening giving low water pressure to fixtures. I recommend customer to do a whole house re-pipe.

Customer three handle shower tub valve. Cold side cannot be turned off. The valve is original to the house. I recommended to replace the whole valve and trim kit. I had to cut drywall behind a valve to access the plumbing. We do not replace drywall.

Kitchen sink drain is not draining. Disposer is jam. I am unjammed the garbage disposer and run a chain knocker in the in the kitchen drain to bust out greases, tested with running hot water for 15 minute. Everything flow good. Also tighten down faucet, faucet was loose and crooked. Recommended replace disposer with higher horse power since customer kept having issues with it being jam.

Customer have a leak on the main waterline after the meter box. Customer have galvanized pipe from meter to house and also galvanized pipe under the house. I recommended the full line replacement from meter to the foundation of home into the inside of house install new pressure reducing valve with main water shutoff

Came out today to repair the leaking cast iron kitchen drain line previously assessed by Simeon. We removed small amount of Sheetrock to expose the kitchen stack going into the basement. Cut out the remaining cast iron, except the vent thru the roof do to that not having water run through it, which means it should have no reason to be rotted. We replaced the cast iron with new pvc pipe and fittings and glued them all together. Added new kitchen arm through the studs with a 90, then reconnected clients temporary kitchen sink. Tested work, no leaks. 1 yr parts and labor warranty. We do not install dishwashers.
Eric was on time, went to end of crawl space, took photos, offered options to redirect flow of sump pump outflow. I didn’t choose any of the options, but it set my mind at ease about water flowing from crawlspace. I decided to address the source of the water entering the crawlspace another day.

Homeowner states that recently her neighbors driveway and retaining wall were pouring out water and the cause was a PVC pipe coming out from the side of home and homeowner didn’t know where the water came from and called us out to investigate. Upon arrival homeowner greeted me and showed me the pipe coming out next to the condensers and I could see the ground was saturated and water still coming out to the neighbors driveway and retaining wall. Went into the crawl space and traced the pipe to a sump pump and took pictures. Homeowner states that she is wasn’t aware she had a sump pump and I explained that a combination of rain and the leak she is currently having from a backup lawn ornament that is leaking and saturating the ground is causing the pump to work harder and pouring it to the neighbors wall and driveway. I explained that I can fix this issue by repiping the exterior pipe and running it towards the front yard 30 ft out. This could prevent the water from draining to the neighb

Customer currently have electric stove. She would like to run about 20 feet of gas pipe from the main to behind her stove and install a shut off valve half inch for the stove. Customer will buy the stove and have it install by the stove seller. Must cut some drywall to run pipe.
Khoa was pleasant to deal with and did a great job. One of the reasons I continue to use your services.

Customer master bathroom sink on right is leaking when run water leak at connection from metal drain to p trap. Tail piece too short. I installed an extension tube to connect more properly
Customer had a toilet that was past retirement age that was clogged. Cautioned customer that older toilets can stop up more frequently and gave option to auger or replace. Customer opted to replace. Cautioned customer ahead of time that if there are any issues with the flange then additional work may be necessary to set the toilet properly. Customer consented to moving forward with the replacement still. When the toilet was pulled noted the flange is below floor level and no support below the flange. Gave option to replace the flange and customer declined at this time. Made customer aware that the flange being incorrect voids any warranty on the toilet install. Customer understood. Set the toilet with two wax rings and sealed and set it. Tested to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found at this time.

We light water heater today and found bad sump pump . We replaced it today with new Zoeller sump pump today

We replaced a leaking disposal today with 1/2 hp bager 5 type

Upon arrival customer stated there was a leak under the vanity. I filled the sink up multiple times and was not able to get anything to leak. I informed the customer that is signs of water damage were it seems to have leaked before but I was not able to recreate the leak. Customer also stated the water pressure seems low I checked the pressure and it was at 55. Customer also stated they would get the prv done when they get the work done for the shower they are remodeling.

Upon arrival customer stated the shut off valve for the fridge needed to be replaced due to the stop not working. I went the in the basement and was able to find the shut off valve and turn it off. The customer stated they only tried the one upstairs behind the fridge. I informed the customer we could install a ice maker box and get rid of the soft copper ice maker line. Customer stated they would rather just turn it off in the basement and have the delivery guy back out to connect the supply line.

Customer stated that there was a leak coming from behind the washer and dryer. Found that kitchen drain line has a failure somewhere which is causing a leak. Told customer that we can temporarily hook up kitchen sink so it can still be used but will need to return after kitchen cabinets are pulled to access pipe. Temporary hooked up kitchen sink and tested. No leaks present at time of departure. Ball park estimate for next step will be between 1-5k. Cleaned up work area.

Upon arrival customer stated there is a leak under the kitchen sink. Customer stated they are having a showing and would to make sure everything was good and not leaking. I informed the customer that there is no leak that the water she sees is from if water get on the counter and gets under the soap dispenser and garbage disposal switch. I filled the sink up and tested it and I also had the garbage disposal running as well and nothing is leaking and everything is working properly.

Customer had galvanized waterline in crawlspace burst and flooded crawlspace. Galvanized ran throughout the crawlspace on the cold water distribution system, as well as a galvanized water service going out to the meter. While under there also found that while the cast iron had been previously replied by another company, there was a section of cast iron for the kitchen sink that was left and had rotted out on the bottom and was leaking. Customer also had galvanized coming up to the water heater, with no expansion tank, misaligned vent, and heavily corroded copper. Notified homeowner of my findings and showed her pictures. Received approval,to replace. Cut out galvanized in crawlspace and replaced with pex. Tied back in to existing copper risers to prevent having to do more invasive repairs at this time. Replaced hose bib on front and back of house. Repiped water heater and realigned vent to prevent carbon monoxide from leaking into hallway. Water heater is very old and was having trou

Homeowner called and states that his garbage disposal had a weird sound and wanted us to come out and take a look to see if it was fixable. After arriving homeowner greeted me and took me to the kitchen and I could hear something hitting the blades when in use. I took a look inside and saw a black piece of material which I then took out and it was plastic piece causing the issue. Homeowner was very glad he didn’t have to replace it. I then did my inspection and found that the pressure slowly increased and the expansion tank was also blown internally. Homeowner agreed to the solution of replacing both the PRV and expansion tank which I started by shutting off the water and draining the home. Then I removed the old PRV and shut off and installed a new model with a new ball valve. Once it was connected I then replaced the expansion tank and turned the water back on. There were no leaks or issues found and homeowner is satisfied with the service provided and states that he has future work

Homeowner called us and stated that his toilet wouldn’t stop running water and called us out to provide some solutions. Upon arrival homeowner greeted and showed me the toilet upstairs next to the stairs left side. It wouldn’t stop filling the tank and I did my initial inspection checked the expansion tank and the water pressure at the GWH. The expansion tank was blown and the pressure was fluctuating which I explained to the homeowner that anything over 10 psi of fluctuations was a problem and need a new PRV. Homeowner agreed to fix the toilet, expansion tank and the PRV which I started by shutting off the water meter and began with the toilet minor rebuild. I replaced the supply line fill valve flapper and the handle. Then I proceeded to the expansion tank and finally to the crawl space to remove the old PRV and install the new model along with a new ball valve. Once it was connected I turned on the water meter and checked the pressure which was at 57 psi and steady. I then checked t

Provided and installed new 12 inch rough in Toto toilet. Stop valve for toilet was not holding back water and replaced after shutting water down.

Dawson and his assistant did an excellent job managing my kitchen sink issue. I have an old home with numerous issues and they navigated each new pitfall and busted fitting as they went. They were thorough running the water for a long time and rechecking the crawlspace over and over to make sure there were no more leaks or issues. I'm extremely happy with their service, they didn't rush and truly made it feel like they cared to fix ALL the issues and not "bandaid" anything to rush to the next job. THANK YOU!

Great job as always - I have been very confident with the results every time Tim Chen Plumbing comes out!
Matthew was awesome. Did a very thorough investigation and gave me an honest opinion of my situation, which I ultimately decided to put off until a larger renovation. Money well spent to know what my options are. And didn't try to sell me a bunch of BS I don't need. So many of these service providers suck when they expand their businesses - but Tim's new employees annd techs are carrying on his high standards and awesome customer service.
I love a technician that is super responsive and very informative. He was great at giving us all the information we needed to get beyond our due diligence. Thank you for the exceptional service and we will be using you again in the future.
The proposed repair beyond the clogged toilet was absurd - we’ll just buy a new toilet for half the cost.
They were not the cheapest, because their service is premium work. I’m happy I chose them.
Tim was super knowledgeable and extremely efficient in helping us solve a number of problems in our house with water pressure and also replaced the temperature and pressure regulation valve in our water heater. Since we discovered the issue early in the morning and gallons of water had been wasted throughout the night, we were extremely grateful for Tim and his team to come out the same day to help resolve the issue. Highly recommend!
