Sewer backing up in basement upon arrival. Informed customer we would need to pull the toilet to run sewer machine, customer showed up a 3” test tee but we could not get the cap off. Informed customer if she wanted us to go from there and not pull a toilet we would need to replace the tee. Customer approved estimate to replace tee. Replaced 3” test tee with plug and ran flex shaft down line found blockage at 21 foot. Ran camera all the way to city tap. Sewer line is cast iron with lots of trees and bushes. Tested system, system is working with no leaks or issues.

Customer had two toilets in need of attention. One had a crack in the bowl, the second was leaking at the back of the toilet. Replaced the cracked toilet with a new Kohler Intrepid. Pulled and reset the second toilet. The first toilet that was replaced (located in the master bath), had a pvc flange level with the floor. Made customer aware this can cause issues, but since it’s pvc and secured, a double wax seal should suffice. If there are any issues in the future, pricing can be given to replace the flange. The second toilet that was leaking in the back had a brass ring on a lead flange that was in very bad condition. Removed the old brass ring and installed a new expansion flange designed for use in lead pipe. There were no good points of contact on the floor because the hole was over cut for the pipe. Made customer aware that if any future issues occur with that toilet, the floor will have to be filled in to have better connection points. Reset the toilet and secured to the floor. C

Tim Chen Plumbing has serviced our family's plumbing needs for many years. He has taken care of my home, my sister's home and my mother's home. He most recently installed a new hot water heater in my 91 yr. old mother's home. Tim's technicians have always been professional, respectful and empathic to our family's situation. Tim personally came to my mother's house early on a Saturday morning to oversee the installation of the water heater so that my 91nyr. old mom would have hot water that day.
