Customer needed quote on drain replacement and sewer line replacement gave options, but customer needs a few days to make decision

Returning to install new cartridge for master bath faucet on left. Previously installed new cartridges, but found one to be defective. Customer ordered a new one to fix issue. Also replaced showerhead that was giving a low pressure with customer provided showerhead after work was complete checked for leaks and proper function of these items.

Client called us out today due to their hose bib on front of home bursting from the cold weather. While investigating in crawlspace I found another leak just beneath the tub shower. In closet behind tub is the nat gas water heater. It seems the copper pipe running up to the water heater is leaking slowly right around floor level in crawl space, due to it being touching an old galvanized pipe for long period of time. Will leave estimate for that repair, as well as repiping all the old drainage pipe in crawlspace. If client does finance job, wouldn’t be bad idea to consider the water heater also. It’s at least 10 yrs old, estimate included for that as well. 1 yr warranty on today’s work. Checked water pressure and it was over 100 psi, safe range is 50-79 psi. Home did not have a pressure reducing valve which is why pressure was so high. While performing the original approved scope of work, additional issues were discovered. The customer was promptly notified of these findings. At the time they were identified. Upon further inspection, it was determined that back falling was present in multiple areas and fittings, not just an original suspected section. Prevents proper drainage and will led to ongoing or reoccurring issues if not fully addressed. Customer understands,due to findings. Additional piping must be removed and replaced and additional sheet rock must be cut to properly access the correct and affected areas. The scope of work has expanded to ensure piping is installed with proper slope and functions as intended Customer initially approved multiple work options, following the camera inspection that revealed the belly and back pitched drain line. Customer stated that she smelled gas by tankless. Found that tankless was throwing error code for pipe not being all the way in for exhaust. Also found that pipe wasn’t properly pitched and the exhaust wasn’t glued. Also condensation line froze which caused a leak inside. Also that there was a fitting in tmp line that wasn’t pressed. Stated to customer that we need to correct vent to prevent gas smell. Went ahead and shut water off to home. Cut out tankless and Lowered tankless about 4 in and installed new vent with proper pitch. Also reconnected water lines. Turned water back on and tested. No leaks where found at this time and tankless was working properly at time of departure. Will need to return tomorrow to seal exhaust from outside once the foam sets. Cleaned up work area.

Remove existing water heater and haul away. Furnish and install new 50 gallon gas water heater with new tank shut off and thermal expansion tank with bracket. Also install drip pan under heater. In crawl space install sump pump with basin. Run vent and discharge. Installed new water heater, and new basin and sump pump in crawlspace. Also installed new PRV. Tested all work and no leaks were present at this time and everything was working as it should. PRV was replaced and water pressure is low. Stated to customer that main waterline may be galvanized, which is restricting water. Will send estimate for new water line.

Cleaned up pieces of concrete as well as picked up equipment

Customer needing sewer line camera ran from clean out to the city’s tap. Gave customer estimate, customer approved estimate. Ran camera down sewer line and found no issues on customers line. Noticed roots on the city’s line but no problems on the customers line.

Replaced a old tankless water heater with Navien NPE 240A2 with navirecir system, cross over valve installed under the master bathroom sink

Unjammed disposal , replaced AAV , snake drain

Pull and reset master corner shape toilet , manually removed a long match was stucked inside the toilet bowl , pull toilet back with new wax , closet bolts , supply line .

Came out for a leak on the kitchen sink. Found the base of the sink has a crack running all the way across the bottom of it. Garbage disposal needs the mounting bracket replaced, or the entire disposal replaced. Left quote to perform either repair once the sink basin has been replaced. Customer had popping sound coming from 10 year-old water heater. Explain to customer about sediment in tank and reason for popping sounds gave customer options to replace heater. Also found pressure to be at 90 psi along with a bad thermal expansion tank in crawlspace. Give additional options for repairs/replacements on these items. Replaced heater with Rheem 40 gallon gas water heater with new ball valve and Thermal expansion tank. Also relocated thermal expansion tank from crawlspace to laundry room with heater. Installed PRV in crawlspace with new ball valve set pressure to 60. Cap gas line going to light pole in front of house. after work was complete checked all areas for leaks and proper function.

Will return tomorrow morning to do work.

Fixed a slow bathroom sink drain for the back bathroom

Return to install new water heater. Removed old unit, cleaned behind and under. Due to space constraints and restrictions we were unable to place a drip pan. The alterations needed to make it fit would render the drip pan useless. New ball valve installed, thermal expansion tank and mounting bracket installed. New gas sediment trap installed. Unit pressurized and lit. I set one mark below standard at Ms. Pat’s request. Cleaned site and made sure everything was working. I discussed the benefits of our maintenance membership program, and ensured Ms. Pat is happy with all work today. Water to building did not have to be shut down today.

Customer had an electric tankless that was not getting the water up to the adequate temperature. Went through the manual and checked everything the book said for possible issues. Could not restore proper service to the unit. Customer elected to just replace it with a tank. Purchased material and installed new 40 gallon electric tank. Tied back into existing plumbing. Ran new t&p through the crawlspace and out of the side of the home. Tested to ensure a leak free installation. Customer is going to have an electrician come out to remove the wiring from the old unit and run power to the new water heater. We bled all the air out of the tank so it will be ready to power on as soon as the electrical is connected. No further issue at this time.

Replaced a leaking disposal with 3/4 hp insinkerator disposal

Call to provide estimate for water heater replacement. Arrived and met with Pat. She has a 15 year old gas 40 gallon water heater. The new water heater will need a thermal expansion tank and mounting bracket, shut off valve if possible, drip pan, T&P drain line, and new sediment trap gas assembly. Estimate has been provided.
