Came out for a sink not draining. Tenant directed us to the pedestal sink in the bathroom. We confirmed drain was holding water and the p trap was free of instructions. Found the condensate line for the hvac is also connect into the same stack and was also holding water. We notified landlord and received approval to replace section of drain and snake out the cast iron. Removed the branch arm to the sink. Ran snake down the line and broke up the build up. Flushed it clean by running hot water from the water heater through a hose down the pipe. We also snaked out the condensate trap and also flushed it out. Confirmed water was flowing through the cleanout in the back yard. Camera’d main drain and found a broken section in the pvc by a very large tree and took a picture of the break. Left quote to replace this section of pipe. Bathroom is in a slab with very old cast iron drains running under it. No warranty on drain cleaning services.
