We cut out this section and multiple branch lines and repipe the section with pvc. Tested to ensure proper function and a leak free install. We had a toilet flushed upstairs while we had the sewer line cut out. Notified homeowners we are not responsible for clean up. Left quote to replace remaining section of cast iron in the crawlspace.

Came out for multiple issues. Homeowner is looking to sell her house soon. We did a walkthrough and identified the issues with the customer. We inspected the cast iron mainlines in the basement and found multiple spots where the pipe is rusting through. We gave a quote to replace the cast iron if the homeowner would like to before she sells her house. Water heater was only 1 year old. Home has had the sewer line and water line replaced from the house to the street. On today’s visit we replaced the 1/2 hp garbage disposal. We did a minor rebuild on the downstairs toilet, and upstairs hall toilet. We rebuilt the lavatory faucet in the downstairs bathroom, and the upstairs master bathroom. Customer had multiple old stop valves that were hard to turn. We recommended replacing the valves for a long term fix, but we applied WD40 as a courtesy service onto the valves which did make them much easier to turn.
