Used special adapter to transition from pvc to copper to install good quality shut off valve. Tested all work for proper operation. Cleaned work space. Once flooring and cabinets are installed we will return to complete rest of water line replacement and install hose bib with new line. Will install meter box where main valve is to cabin. Also installed new Prv with main house shut off valve. Tested and everything is working as it should and no leaks present. Set pressure to 60-65 psi and cleaned up work area.

Informed customer the only option is to replace the water heater, when checking pressure found it to be 140 psi. Informed customer the PRV had also failed and I would recommend replacing. Repair outside main water line pvc to Pex repair For this repair the homeowner already had dug up the area that needed to be fixed, so therefore we needed to reconnect the pvc pipes together with Pex, so therefore that is exactly what we did. Repaired the section of pipe with Pex a first however it didn’t work the way I wanted to so therefore we used a different fitting. After the repair there is no leaks. Customer is all set didn’t go inside to look at anything else. Recommend to replace the line with the full bore option due to all the foliage around. At this time, the customer is all set use purple primer, and blue PVC glue.

Customer had a bidet supply line burst. Upon physical inspection of the bidet, I recommended to customer putting a new bidet in. There were signs of corrosion in the chrome handle and a supply line had already burst. Customer will get a new bidet and asked for removal of the existing bidet. Made customer aware that the existing supply line is built into the stop. If there’s ever any issues, then the stop itself will have to be replaced. Removed the bidet, reinstalled the existing toilet seat, and connected the existing supply to the fill valve. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found at this time.

For this customer we took a look at his plumbing system in his home for the annual one with Chen membership. Nothing major came up during our report. He has a bathroom that he does not use for the laboratory faucet cause there’s a problem with the sink basin. additionally he has some questionable drain piping underneath the laboratory sinks however they do work. They are not recommended water pressure is at 65 psi the water heater was installed by us. additionally nothing major came up on the report. Everything looks good in terms of the well-being of the plumbing system. Inside of the home at this time there are no issues that are urgent to fix this. Customer is on a septic system, no clean out present

Today we had a discussion to clarify scope of work, and discuss the process of the project. I met with Ms. Jackie and Ms. Phuong. Ms. Phuong and her husband are the owners of the home, and she wanted to clarify something’s and ask a few questions about the process. Questions discussed are: 1. During the repipe, will all of the pipe be removed? Yes, all waterlines will be replaced. This includes the repairs that have been made as well. The only waterline that will remain is the water pipe from the county meter in the yard, to where it comes through the foundation. Additionally, supply lines from shut off valves to faucets/toilets will be replaced. Shut off valves will be replaced as well. 2. Warranty questions. The warranty is five years from Chen plumbing. As discussed this also covers damage as a result of bad work as well. As an example, if a leak occurred and damaged drywall, we would have that damage repaired as well. 3. Shane came out to install a gas line for my dryer. He was efficient and made sure I knew what was happening at every step of the way. He even made me aware that the water pressure coming into my house was broken and replaced the valve as well. All the other companies did not mention this but Shane took me to the crawlspace to show me. All services costed $1800 approx whereas other companies were charging me 2k for the gas pipe alone. They are my go to plumbers, highly recommend.

I've been using Chen Plumbing for over seven years. The work is always excellent. This was as well. A suggestion: when wall board must be cut, offer the customer a choice to seal the hole on their own, or cut the hole a standard size to install an access door. Carry access doors in the truck. Less stressful for the customer, and no issue trying to then find a dependable repair person.

This same job cost us close to $400. Granted it was years ago but cost just a few dollars less than other plumbing companies who do same quality work. When purchasing a new washer/dryer, we discovered a problem with the water connections that had to be repaired before installing the new appliances.
