Customer wanting estimate on new water heater upon arrival. Customers water heater is 12 years old and he is looking to replace it. Informed customer we could install a 12 year warranty water heater so it would have all the smart options. Left customer with estimate.
Water leak under asphalt upon arrival. Customer stated they noticed water running down the road and the county shut the water off. Informed customer we would need to dig up the pipe to see if it will be able to be fixed or if it needs to be replaced. Gave customer estimate, customer approved estimate. After busting up concrete and digging down, noticed the pipe to be a flexible pvc pipe. Informed customer we would not be able to repair this section but we could replace the entire line. Gave customer estimate to replace line from meter to where it connects in the building using a bore shot. Backfilled hole and left water off.
Replacement of the cold side boiler drain only I replaced the 1/2 shut off valve in the laundry room. The valve was leaking from the stem, the pressure on the house fine the Prv was replaced as result of the pressure is fine so the cause of the issue lies between an old gate valve shut off. For the repair I removed a little bit of drywall to access the pipe and use a propress connection to repair the pipe. At this t8me the water is back on and there are no leaks at this time.
