Informed customer due to the space we have we would have to go with a skinny a.o smith water heater, customer asked if we could do a 30 gal gas water heater. Checked all the venting in basement, and checked the vent on the roof and couldn’t find any obvious obstructions. Turn gas off to water heater and informed customer that they will need to hire third party company to clean vents so water heater can vent correctly. I informed customer multiple times to not use water heater till vent is cleared and that it’s very dangerous till problem is corrected. Cleaned work area

Found 3/4 pvc 90 cracked on water service tail out. Replaced 2’ section of pvc through foundation with new 3/4 Pex b pipe. Turned water back on and tested for leaks. Left in good working order. No warranty on the remaining portion of water service.

Informed customer we could cut the section off and replace it and gave him a quote to do so. Customer approved quote we replaced the 90 and allowed the glue to dry for 1.5 hours. After cutting water back on and another 90 on the water service blew apart. Returned to run new water service from meter to stubout. Installed new 1 inch pex line with a new ball valve and meter box. Turned water back on to check for leaks and found no leaks. Ran multiple fixtures in the house to get air and dirt out of the lines. Customer now has working water again and no leaks upon departure

Returned to swap rinnai tankless for a navien 240a2. Installed new navien 240a2 with new service ports, new expansion tank, and added a condensate pump to pump the condensation outside of the home. The communication from Chen Plumbing is great. They confirm and keep in touch via phone and text, and when they were delayed for my original visit time, offered me a slight discount for rescheduling for another day. Shane Silva who came to fix our kitchen sink leak, leading to installing a new disposal, was friendly and knowledgeable, and giving us several options at different price points was helpful and the right thing to do. He worked fast and efficiently. Chen emailed me photos of the work done, too. I hope I won't have to call a plumber any time again soon, but if I do, it's Chen Plumbing all the way.

Tim is an excellent plumber! He quickly assessed the source of the leak. He kept us informed of the scope of work as it progressed. He explained all the issues to us. He reached out to a restoration service on our behalf. He maintained a clean job site as he completed the repairs. While the scope of the project became more complex, Tim’s part of the repair was done in a very timely manner. He is very professional and courteous.
