1 year part and labor warranty for gas control valve only Came out for a water heater that the pilot light would not stay lit. Water heater was a 50 gallon gas AO smith water heater with an MFG of 2020. We attempted to light the pilot light to confirm. We heated up the flame rod until the indicator light started flashing. When the pilot button was released the pilot light would go out within seconds. This confirmed it was an issue with the gas control valve and not the thermocouple. Notified homeowner of our findings and gave options to repair/replace the water heater. Received approval to repair, matched the gas control valve using the serial number with a local plumbing supply house. Went and purchased new valve and returned. Installed new valve and tested to ensure proper function and a leak free installation. Bubble tested gas piping to ensure no leaks. No further issue at this time. For this customer we took at look at the issue underneath the sink to figure out where this leak was coming from. The leak is coming from the garbage disposal air switch. When water is splashed on the counter the air switch gets wet and water goes down to the bottom of the cabinet, recommendation is to seal the switch with clear silicone. Water pressure is at 60psi. Install new hose Bibb on the backside of the home Will need to cut drywall in the back side of the wall in the garage Win with Chen membership This customer we installed a new hose bib customer supplied to be installed on the wall on the outside. The new faucet that was going outside was a quarter turn aqua hose bib had a hard time securing to the wall because of the loose brick that was installed on the home the area of where the previous hose stayed at was just mortar. So in order to get it flush enough, we had to put caulking behind it in order to seal the crack to get this hose flush. If we drill the new hole, the hose would be flush, but the pipes in the back wouldn’t line up this was a pipe if the hose bib ever needs to be come off there is a mail adapter. At this time, water pressure is normal and the tankless water heater is fairly new new to the home. No leaks after installation.
