Fixed a water heater in Suwanee this afternoon! Customer called reporting lukewarm water and occasional rumbling noises. Unit is a 6-year-old Rheem gas model. First checked thermocouple and gas valve - both working fine. Main issue ended up being severe sediment buildup in tank. Performed complete flush to remove accumulated minerals (water was seriously dirty!). Also found lower heating element heavily corroded, so replaced it with new one. Adjusted temperature setting to 120° for better efficiency and safety. While there, installed new pressure relief valve as preventative measure since original was showing signs of wear. Everything's running perfectly now with consistent hot water flow. Showed customer how to do basic yearly maintenance to prevent future sediment issues. They were super happy to have hot showers again!

Customer signed and approved estimate with bringing up to code and running new temperature and pressure discharge line. Customer called back and did not want to go through with estimate and will have Home Depot employee install instead. Charged extended dispatch fee.

Customer had almost 800 dollar water bill. Customer just moved in December and doesn’t have previous water bills for reference. Noted an extra wet spot by the edge of driveway. Hard to determine if it’s from leak or recent rain since it’s in a low point by the driveway. Customers water service runs under slab in garage to the basement wall. Only about 6 feet of yard is accessible before it goes under driveway/garage area. So digging won’t help in this case. Recommended leak detection first to see if the leak is in a repairable area. If it is, pricing can be given to repair. Quote left to replace also if it comes to replacement depending on leak location. Customer is losing 1.15 gallons of water per minute when water is on. Appears to be a back up occurs to the main line , but is working when we arrived , suggested and did camera inspection with toilet pull and reset , did not see any problems with customer present .

We performed leak search . Customer had water damage in garage ceiling . The hallway bathroom is right above damaged section , we ran water and didn’t find any leaks in drain not pressurized water lines . We did notice tub spout had some water shooting back and getting through tile gap . So we replaced tip spout and added plumbers putty in gap. We also noticed a lot of water was getting on floor , advised homeowner to install tub water guard and silicon certain areas to prevent water going down to garage

Water heater

Downstairs powder room toilet leaking from base when flushed. Received approval to pull/reset toilet. Pulled toilet and found flange was broken with very rusty repair flange spacers. Flange was also recessed into floor. Received approval to repair flange. Installed flange spacer and secured into foundation. Set toilet with new bolts and wax ring. Caulked base. Tested to ensure no further issue. 90 day warranty.

Plumbing service. Went out to fix a stubborn plumbing leak that had been causing water damage behind a kitchen wall. After inspecting the area, discovered that a worn-out pipe joint was the culprit. We promptly replaced the faulty joint, successfully stopping the leak and preventing further damage.
