Upon arrival, customer has recently purchased and attempted to install new cartridge in roman tub. Tub is still dripping. Check water pressure, water pressure is sitting at 130 psi. Informed customer we will need to replace PRV. Customer approved estimate. Replace PRV with new watts 25AUBPRV. Also installed new seat in spring for hot side of tub cartridge.

Customer stated that water heater was leaking. Found that water heater is only 3 years old and was purchased at Home Depot. Gave customer options as far as next steps/replacement.

With customer’s permission cut wall in foyer to access leaking water pipes. Access water pipes and find leak. Shut off water to home and drain system. Cut out leaking section of pipe and replace with new copper piping. Test for proper operation and leaks. Clean up work space. Upon arrival, customer stated they are experiencing multiple issues. First issue, is the garbage disposal is leaking and kitchen sink is backing up. Provided customer with estimate to replace garbage disposal and run drain machine to attempt to clear kitchen sink. Customer approved estimate. Replaced garbage disposal and ran drain machine. Successfully cleared kitchen drain. Second issue, is the pop-up in downstairs bathroom. Provided customer with estimate to replace pop-up. Customer approved estimate. Installed new pop-up. No leaks at departure. Third issue is the shower drain is not connected in crawlspace. Provided customer estimate to reconnect drain. Customer approved estimate. Installed new one and a half inch PVC. Shower is draining properly at departure. Also provided estimates for other issues. Estimates are sent to customer via email.

Found gate valve at meter leaking. Cut out gate valve and replaced with new ball valve. Turned water back on to test. Left water on and in good working order.

Returned to replace failed threaded stop. Replaced hot side nipple and stop under sink tested for leaks. No leaks found.

Description of work as quoted: Price is to furnish and install new Liberty 404 under sink pump and run discharge line with new ball check to drain lines above. Test work to ensure proper function and no leaks Customer acknowledgment that the cabinet will have to be cut to fit pump. Made customer aware that Chen Plumbing isn’t responsible for any repairs made to access or retrofit plumbing. Description of work as performed: Returned and uninstalled the old pump and discharge line. Ran new 1.5 inch pvc line to drain above with a new 1.5 inch pvc check valve. Reworked the trap and reconnected to the vent running to the exterior of the home. Ran new air admittance valve to aid in sink drain and ensured proper trapping to avoid sewer smells. Tested all work and discharged pump multiple times to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found.

Water in yard upon arrival. Customer stated they noticed water pooling in front of the house. After looking noticed condensate pump drain line was ran to that location. Informed customer with as hot as it’s been the ac is running more causing the condensate pump to run more. Informed customer this was not an issue and is working properly. After completing whole home inspection, noticed water heater was 12 years old, and the customers whole home shutoff valve was a gate valve. Recommend customer to start thinking about replacing the water heater due to the age.

Upon arrival, customer stated they were noticing water dripping from old cast iron vent. Tightened up furnco cap. Also inspected attic and found water spots on roof. Informed customer that he has a potential roof leak.

Found leak in crawl space on 4” cast iron pipe. System had blockage. Installed clean out to system on out side of house to right of porch. Jetted system to clear blockage. Cut out 5’ section of 4” cast iron pipe and connected new 4” pvc pipe. Filled tub and drained also ran water for ten minutes to test. No issue at this time. Cast iron is thinning at bottom recommend replacing cast iron system with new pvc. No warranty on cast iron.

Replace and repipe washing machine box For this customer, I installed a new washing machine box in the laundry room. The pre-existing box was a metal box and it was made of metal and overtime. It had slowly rested away and corroded so the fix for it is to replace it with the brand new PVC box so that’s exactly what we did. We had to cut the drywall on the top in order to get the copper fittings aligned and crimped properly following that we installed the box with new screws and set everything properly For the drain went back with 2 inch PVC primed and glued the pipe and put a fur coat with the two bands on to connect to the cast-iron in addition to that once that was all glued, there are no leaks. The customer is all set. I left off the cover plate so when the people for drywall come in, they can easily drywall the wall and clip the plate in so it doesn’t get a mess. Replaced a 1/4 copper line with 1/2 uponor pipe and valve from crawl space to behind refrigerator

Customer called us out for a leaking toilet after doing a initial diagnostic evaluation we determine the toilet and the piping associated with the toilet to be in rough condition. We recommended replacing lines as well as replacing sink piping as well. Customer agreed will return on Monday to finish work.

Diagnosed leak near meter where previous repair was made. Found fitting to be defective and leaking from crack. Removed cracked fitting. Install new adapter from pvc to pex in cased in brass and reconnected waterline. Tested repair for proper operation and leaks. No leaks found after work completed and meter is not spinning

Customer had blockage when I arrived. Ran machine through cleanout to clear line then ran camera to determine area of blockage was affected by roots entering a section of cast-iron piping. Gave customer option to replace section from PVC back to asbestos piping. After approval dug down approximately 3 to 4 feet and replaced a 10 foot section of piping with 4 inch PVC. Connected PVC with approved material methods and secured with quick setting mix after work was complete backfilled section to rough grade and put back partial landscaping to the best of my ability. Later, finding kitchen sink still not draining properly as courtesy ran small snake a short distance to help issue informed customer issue could return and we will need to further investigate to address issue.

Waterline under the dishwasher was leaking upon arrival. Leak has been stopped , 6/30 tim came back remove old dishwasher Plbg line in crawl space , cap off , installed new water line at kitchen sink floor area ready for remolding job .

Return due to washer drain sticking out of wall. Cut vent back and drain fell back. Tied drain back into vent..

Upon arrival, customer stated they’re having a leak coming from their water service. After inspection, noticed a hissing sound coming from penetration. Dug up outside of home, found multiple pin holes on black well piping. Informed customer we will need to replace water service. Customer approved estimate. Trenched down center of yard, installed new 1 inch pex piping. Ran pex through penetration, sleeved with inch and a half PVC. Hydro plug exterior. Ran 1 inch pex to whole home shut off. Tested system, water service is not leaking at departure. Customer signed up with win with Chin membership!

Main sewer line back up , we did clear with new clean out installed outside , also replaced a section cast iron pipe in basement with clean out installed outside, high pressure jetting clean the line with camera inspection work .

Customer had a pump that starting running constantly since yesterday. Pump was running extremely hot due to not having the power disconnected. Disconnected the power to reset the cycle and pump is working normally, for now. Due to excessive and multiple issues in a short amount of time, recommend replacing with a more heavy duty pump to handle the amount of use. Checked the manufacturer warranty and it is only two years. #chenplumbing

Customer stated that they needed gas shut off valve for the stove to be moved in order for the stove to flush. Cut sheet rock behind and talk to gas line into wall and properly strapped. Tested and now stove sits flush with wall. Cleaned up work area.
