Upon arrival, customer states she is experiencing a high water bill. Tested water service line, no active leak on water service. After inspection, determine leak is in slab of home. Home is currently piped in gray polybutylene piping, leak is most likely in kitchen area. Recommended customer call out American leak detection to pinpoint where leak is in slab. Once the leak is detected, we will return and provide customer with true estimate and repair leak.

Found there water service is leaking. There is pooling at house foundation and out about 6’. Yard slopes towards house so leak could possibly be farther from house.

Showed up for water leak. Isolated water between service and distribution systems and determined water leak was on service side of system. Probed yard to determine location of leak starting at meter and working towards house. Found leak in black 3/4 Pex water line where it rested on footer of house. Cut 1’ section of water service out and replaced with new 3/4 Pex. Wrapped pipe to prevent rubbing on footer. Turned water back on and tested. There are no other detectable leaks at this time.

I was provided with an Exceptional Customer Experience by Chen Plumbing! The work was performed by Hunter and he was assisted by Christian. Both gentlemen were very professional and polite and they represented the Chen Plumbing brand quite well! I also received a follow up call from Neal (to make sure I was satisfied) once the work was completed. That was a nice touch.
