Came out for a leak in the ceiling. Leak is a small wet spot about 3” in diameter just past the front door on the ceiling. There is no bathroom above. There is a front hose bib that possibly has a waterline going to it in this area. Front porch roof appears to have sank down around an inch. Unsure if this compromised the water proofing in the front, but this is right next to where the water is showing up. Water pressure tested in the normal range. Water heater has multiple code violations and safety issues on the installation. We left quote to repipe the water heater to code. Water heater is 7 years old out of an expected 10 year life span. We also gave quote to just replace the tank as it is out of warranty and includes repiping the code violations. Customer had their roof replaced recently and wants to reach out to the builder about the roof warranty before making a decision on the leak.
