Left quote to replace water heater in garage. Standard install
Water service leaking upon arrival. Customer stated he came out this morning and noticed water running down his driveway. After digging found pvc line cracked and leaking. Informed customer we could cut that section of pvc out and retie back to the copper. Gave customer estimate, customer approved estimate. Cut out broken section of PVC and replaced it. Turned water back on to check for leaks. No leaks were found. No leaks upon departure
Client called us out today due to their t&p valve on the 6 yr old water heater dripping onto floor. Checked water pressure and it was 85 psi, which is higher than the safe range of 50-79 psi. Due to the high pressure, the thermal expansion tank had failed also on the water heater. It was decided best to replace the water heater with new of same model, giving customer a new 6 yr tank warranty and 1 yr labor from us. New unit was installed up to code in a pan with properly supported thermal expansion tank, new ball valve shutoff, and new copper piping. We also replaced the failed pressure regulator with new of same model and added a new ball valve to shut water to home off if needed. Set pressure to 60 psi. Water heater is working as it should be with no issues as well as pressure is now at a safe range.
