Tested the pump plug by bypassing the float plug and it still tripped. Plugged a household vacuum into the plug and it worked without tripping the breaker. Installed a new pump with a new check valve to correct the problem. Made customer aware that there are only 3 bolts left that can connect to the basin, the others are stripped. Resealed the lid with caulk. Tested new work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found. Customer was concerned about how often the pump is cycling. Informed the customer that the basin is minimally sized and that is the cause of it kicking off more frequently. Ran a stopwatch and determined the pump is cycling every 35 seconds or so.
