Customer had no water draining on the left side compartment of the sink. Noted the garbage disposal was rusted and cracked in some parts. Customer stated disposal hasn’t worked in years. Replaced the garbage disposal and cleaned the drain lines. Water drains properly now. Noted during testing that there was no power from the switch to the disposal. Checked the breaker box and no switches were tripped. Checked the power going to the switch and it has power. Recommended customer have electrician inspect the switch and wiring to the disposal to allow power to the unit.
Cut out and removed hose bib on half inch CPVC and cut out and removed winterization valve on same line. Replaced with quarter turned ball valve and new hose bib. Pressurize system and tested for leaks.
For this job, I worked on installing customer supplied kitchen faucet. I also replaced leaking water stops hot and cold. Repiped the kitchen drain the correct way.
