Came out for a leak inside the unit. Homeowner was not here when we came out. Notified homeowner we were here and she gave me a basic rundown that she had a leak recently when someone was fixing a valve at the washing machine box that flooded the unit for 5 minutes. Provision came out and cleaned up the water. She said she is continuing to see water coming up through the floor around the kitchen area. We ran every fixture that was hooked up for 10 minutes and could not find any water showing up anywhere. Notified homeowner we still were unable to recreate the leak based on what she explained they were doing when the water would show up. Customer was requesting leak detection equipment to locate the leak. I explained the leak detection equipment was for active pressurized leaks on a waterline under the slab, and that if she had an active leak on a pressurized line that the water would not randomly show up and would be leaking constantly. Installed new water heater with new expansion tank, strapped expansion tank. Water heater is lit and worked properly at departure. No leaks at departure.
