During the evaluation, it was also observed that the water heater was leaking at the nipple connection and would require replacement. The customer was informed of the water heater issue so they were aware of the condition and the need for future repairs. Discussed the whole-home filtration system installation with the customer and provided an estimate. The customer approved the estimate for the filtration system only, as this was their primary concern at the time. Informed the customer that the filtration system could not be installed during today's visit but that we could return the following week to complete the installation. The customer paid a 25% deposit and scheduled the return visit for Friday, based on their availability. Will return Friday to install the approved whole-home water filtration system.

Attempted to locate meter and was able to locate meter after several hours of searching. Once meterwas located shut water off. Saw cut driveway and dug up area to access waterline. Found water leaking on 1 inch pipe coming from 1 1/2in pvc pipe. Replaced section of pipe that was leaking. Turn meter back on and tested for leaks and no leaks were present at this time and also spotted meter and didn’t confirm any other leaks at this time. Covered back soil. Chen plumbing will not be responsible for concrete repair. Cleaned up work area. Also would recommend replacing water service piping given that it is PVC and is very brittle to be under the driveway. Don’t drive over spot repair for a week. If customer decides to do full waterline replacement within 30 days, will credit back half of the charge from today
