Flush water heater Repair vent pipe on water heater First job email at flushing out and servicing a 50 gallon gas water heater in the basement. There is nothing wrong with the water heater other than the fact of two solder drips that need to be rectified. However, the customer wanted to wait at this time and wanted to get the maintenance done on his water heater, flush it out completely fill back up and flush it again. I used my transfer pump to displace the water so it would move faster. Additionally, the year was an issue with the vent pipe. It was crooked and had a gap from the flu off of the vent hood because the vent hood wasn’t properly secure nor was the 3 inch vent pipe so what the recommendation was is to repair that section vent pipe to get it properly secured so it doesn’t create a carbon monoxide leak. Water pressure is at 70 psi wouldn’t recommend to readjust that anymore way the pressure reducing valve was installed in 2024 by TE at this time all the necessary repairs

I recommend calling a roofer to inspect the roof and the vent stack at this time.

Dawson was both efficient and knowledgeable. He offered to first try a solution that would be less invasive and less expensive to replace a piece of my outdoor faucet before doing the more complicated repair which involved cutting through the drywall . It worked! He finished fixing the faucet and my bathroom drain in under an hour. He is pleasant and polite . Highly recommend him and Chen plumbing
