Replacement of one service stop valve for the dishwasher line
Upon arrival, I inspected the service stop valve and determined that the existing valve was an old-style compression, multi-turn valve that needed to be replaced.

The customer was also attempting to connect a dishwasher. The existing 3/8” compression connection did not match the dishwasher’s 7/8” connection. To complete the installation, either an adapter/speedy valve would have been required or the existing valve would need to be replaced with a new 3/8” compression stop valve. I installed a brand-new 3/8” compression stop valve to complete the plumbing portion of the project.

During the inspection, I also noted that the water heater is approximately 15 years old, with a manufacturer date of 2011, and is approaching the end of its expected service life. An estimate was provided to the homeowner for replacement of the water heater.

Additionally, while attempting to install the dishwasher, the customer applied Teflon tape
