Job Locations and Reviews
Wife’s lavatory faucet had a loose cartridge causing it to leak when used. Removed the handle and secured the cartridge in place and reinstalled 5e handle. Tightened down the nut for the spout as I found that was also loose. The other master bathroom lavatory faucet had a loose handle on the hot side that I also tightened down. This was unrelated to the previous work I did. No further issue at this time.
Replaced water heater as quoted. Installed a pan where the previous water heater did not have one. Reworked the gas line to move the gas valve out from behind the water heater. Previously there was no way to reach the valve as it was behind the tank. Installed new expansion tank in a mounting bracket attached into the framing beside the tank. Tested to ensure proper function and a leak free installation. 2 year labor warranty, 6 year manufacturer warranty on the tank itself. No further issue at this time. Homeowner had his home connected into the city water supply, but still had a well system supplying some of the buildings on his property. He wanted the well pump disconnected and connected into the homes supply. Removed the well tank and connected the piping back up. Allowed adequate time for glue to cure before testing. No further issue at this time.
Matthew Craven was assigned by Chen Plumbing to help us with an issue with a faulty basement drain pump. We were impressed with him on his first visit by his professionalism, competence and friendliness. He quickly diagnosed the problem and applied a low cost fix that worked for a few days. When it failed a few days later as he suspected it might, he returned late on Friday afternoon and disassembled the unit completely determining that build up on the internal float mechanism was contacting a part of the tubing preventing the pump from activating resulting in the overflow and leakage around the unit. He meticulously cleaned the internal mechanisms of the pump restoring full operational capability, again at minimal cost to us. We deeply appreciate the level of service and support that Matthew brings to our plumbing problems and especially appreciate his efforts to fix our plumbing problems as quickly as possible and at the lowest cost possible. He is our "go to" plumber from now on! He really is the best of the best!
