For this job, it came out to take a look at a water service leak on the left side of the home. It appeared to be scheduled forty PVC pipe. In the ground, there is a small leak coming from one of the elbows. It appears that a car may have driven on the water service line, indicating a small pinhole crack in the elbow I gave a couple different solutions of what we could do in terms of either repair and or replace. The CUSTOMER needs to discuss it with their family. Was not able to look at the water heater to give an estimate on that as well. I gave the customer a ballpark range of what one would averagely cost due to the fact that one of her family members were sleeping in the room of where the water heater is wasn’t able to get a pressure reading at this time. The water meter is not spinning, currently indicating a very slow drip at this time, the customer wants to think about either replacement or repair.

The failure has resulted in water intrusion around the tub area, causing visible water damage to the surrounding materials. Water damage was also observed below the Jacuzzi tub, indicating that water has penetrated through the tub area and affected the structure/materials underneath. Based on the inspection, the Jacuzzi tub is the apparent source of the water damage. Repair or replacement of the failed tub and assessment of the affected surrounding and underlying materials is recommended to prevent further water intrusion and damage.
